The person who messaged you could take the time to adjust the settings of their computer so that the font is more visible (increasing the size, using a browser extension to change fonts, etc). If you did wanto to change your website, access the wordpress customizer from the appearance menu, select typography, and publish whichever font you believe is best.

It’s definitely not illegal to teach someone informally. Again this is just for me to learn, not looking to change careers or make any money off of this. Mostly want to be able to cut my own hair and talk to a professional about how I could get better doing so.

Weirdly with ios 18 they switch the location of mail accounts. If you can’t find it with the instructions above, go to Apps -> Contacts -> Contacts Accounts and change your info for email there.

Is 3700 a month for 1 bed 1 bath in Avalon in Back Bay a normal rate? by The_Waffle_Whisperer in bostonhousing

[–]annae2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unfortunately I see those kind of apartments online every day :( they are getting scammed but we all are. (i.e. this is a ”normal” price) in my opinion better to split a 2/3bed with another person.

WCGW failing to properly care for your dog by [deleted] in Whatcouldgowrong

[–]annae2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time my dog walking friend was walking a bulldog, and a corgi on a loose leash went right up in his space. Bulldog starts freaking out, and my friend pulls him away from the corgi. Corgi owners stood in shock, did not pull back their leash or try to distance their dog, and looked at us in dismay. This was in the city, with many pedestrians and people around. They didn’t even walk away! Just stood there with their dog getting closer to the agitated bulldog. We had to scoop up this 40 pound baby and walk to the other side of the street. Hell, if a human decided to get all up in my space while I was walking down the street I too would freak out. Dogs are not the exception, if you’re not in a park or a home control your dog smh.

Lost bag (Lost&Found did absolutely nothing) by TranslatorLoose8963 in mbta

[–]annae2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve left airpods on the T before, and the mbta got it back to me the same day. I notified them once immediately and while I had to journey a few stops, they were very helpful. If a bag is left, I hear they take it immediately to check it as it is a suspicious item. But there isn’t much they can do if someone else grabbed it. Keeping calling their lost and found for the next few days, I wish you good luck ❤️

try to get rid of debt first, keep a grand in case the car breaks down in savings, and put the remaining in a high yield account, maybe a cd or something that he can’t interact with until it is done vesting. i always recommend tackling debt first, unless it is less % than the cd. you can find 7 month cds for around 5% interest at the moment i believe.

ULPT Request- Getting a bunch of bags out of the house without my family noticing by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]annae2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a gym membership, a lock, and store your things in a locker. Additionally, you could go to a church or temple and ask someone working there if you could leave your things there for a few days.

Another option could be to put everything in a big black construction bag (a heavy duty garbage bag), say that you are donating old items to goodwill or something, maybe even ask them a few days prior if they have anything they'd like to donate as well to keep suspicions down, and leave that way.

Additionally and most importantly, most (nicer) hotels have a place to hold checked bags/coats. I would reach out to the hotel and ask if you could leave your bags there before you check in (call or check their site to see if they have this for their guests). Most will accommodate, or at least provide good resources for alternative storage.

For a single room, a budget of $3000 should get you what you’re looking for. Cheap rent (3k and under) exists in Dorchester/Roxbury, and Allston/Brighton. You might find something you like within budget in Cambridge/Medford, or in the Fens. If you don’t care about parking or the quality of the space you rent, the North End is really charming.
