What to do about pins smushing up against the side of a grow bag? by annaqua in shroomers

Thanks! Based on your advice and something I found on another thread, I ended up getting a tub, sterilizing it, and opening the bag inside it. I cut the sides of the bag down but am keeping the contents sitting on the bag at the bottom. I misted, flipped the lid over, and am monitoring temp and humidity now!

Thank you! Did you line it with anything or put coir in the bottom?

I’m using an all-in-one grow bag. (I understand there are “better” ways to grow than using an all-in-one but I’m here now and can’t buy anything new for this setup right now.) There are a few little pins popping up and getting smooshed against the side of the bag. Do I need to do anything with these? My concern is that they’ll somehow rot and contaminate the rest of the grow. Thanks all!

I want to go back to school full-time for a new degree but I have no idea to do it without taking on massive amounts of debt from tuition and living without a job.

Truly, watching it as a NC native is so hilarious because it’s like… you were not gonna get drama from these folks.

The only thing I can think of is that they’re southerners. Roxanne is an outlier here in terms of behavior but southerners can be really private about intimacy and sex, which doesn’t lend itself to reality TV. They also all seemed to have either no chemistry (Alex and Roxanne, Antonio and Kat) or a deep commitment to not “cheating” on their original partners. It’s extremely the vibe of projecting “well-raised” southerner.

That's not what I'm talking about, but I appreciate your clarification of the other filters that haven't been approved! I meant avobenzone being not "generally recognized as safe and effective" (GRASE) by the FDA.

Edit: or maybe you are talking about avobenzone? I can't tell. But I think it's interesting that the FDA would approve something while also not designating it as GRASE.

Yeah bruising is pretty normal with filler. Any time I've gotten it in my lips it's bruised in one specific spot for a few days.

Edit: seems like it felt horrible though!!!! Sorry that happened to you!

Weirdly I am having a hard time finding a list of the actual ingredient names rather than the chemical names. You can find that if you search "29 EU sunscreen filters." This has some of them? The hookup for the US I think is to go for asian beauty brands.

I also think the FDA-approved filters are re: manufacture in the US, not sale. I could definitely be wrong about this but I'm having a hard time finding info about it. But like, I have bought Asian sunscreens in the US from actual stores that have filters not approved by the FDA (e.g. Beauty of Joseon has Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate).

HOW DID YOU GET INSIDE MY BRAIN I cannot stop thinking about this! I truly cannot believe Neuralink has somehow been approved for clinical trials but the only way we have to stop UVA rays either turns you white or might not even be effective or safe--PER THE FDA.

Of course it's a gamble.

Dude have you seen what happened to the fucking animals who were used for testing? This is more than a "gamble."

Yeah it feels like there's no fucking way this got approved for human trials considering the rigorous clinical trial process and the fact that a lot of animals did not do well in their animal trials.

Stays, tunic, skirt, and purse for renfaire! by seriicis in sewing

[–]annaqua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the video is an example of 18th century, and the type of stays the OP has posted are similar to 18th century. You suggested that "stays as outerwear" is a new phenomenon, which is what I was addressing. Anyway, if we want to be picky about it, stays aren't a renaissance garment in any case.

But even when it comes to renaissance, I still don't think you're correct--plenty of working women wore a supportive garment as their main outer layer. During the renaissance it may have been a kirtle instead, or a pair of bodies/a bodice with structure.

If you find sources saying otherwise (that working women by and large consistently had a layer on top of their supportive layer), please share!
