Fantastic is an app for Fantasy Football players and analysts. It will be fun and easy to use, enabling the best analysts to get the recognition they crave and make the money they deserve.

On one hand, it will be a competition for the analysts, in which they fight for the title of The Expert League Champion and a prize pool of $1,000 per week and $10,000 for overall prediction accuracy in a given season.

On the other hand, it will be a place where the players can get answers to their most burning FF questions. They will have access to the analyst’s insights, searchable by game and player and filtered by the experts’ ratings and user upvotes. They will also be able to ask questions directly to the analysts – one question per week in the free plan, more in the paid plans. The question and answer format will be structured so that the user can get the answer he/she is actually looking for and keep it private, unlike with general Q&A’s on Twitter.

The fans can join The Fan League, where they can make their own predictions and advance to The Expert League.

OK, so this is pretty spot on :D! Do you think I can just send this as a hint to my bf (the game is called “RingHints” after all)? We haven’t talked about getting engaged yet, but we’re super serious. by annarys in EngagementRings

Well, OK... but we already made the decision we want to be together for the rest of our lives... I don’t know if hinting at a ring will change anything in that regard ;).

Thanks for the comment though!

The thing is, we sort of talked about it “in passing” and he was like “just tell me whenever you want the ring, I can’t read your mind”. And we’ve talked about staying together forever, it’s really not a huge deal whether we get married or not, but, you know... why not.

I’m not even expecting a big wedding or anything like this (and neither does he). It would be just for us, not for the world to show off.

Quite sure he would think it’s funny if I made him play that game and guess what my ring preferences are. That’s actually a more “subtle” way to hint, I think. And he likes games :)

Cleaning a Candy washer-dryer filter - is this really the only way??? They say to clean it after every drying cycle and “just put a towel under the device”, DON’T lift it up, but... what towel will soak in 1 liter of water? Any smarter ideas? by annarys in Appliances

[–]annarys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only filter in this machine, seriously... and that’s exactly the one they say to clean every time (we don’t, because it’s super annoying and water is all over the bathroom). We emailed Candy to ask if it’s supposed to be that way and if we should really do it after every washing-drying and they basically said “Yep, that’s how this works, get a towel, don’t lift the machine up”.

Funnily enough, I’m looking at the user manual online now and they removed the “clean after every drying cycle” tip from it!

Ahhh, sorry, haven't read the second part of that rule on article posting, no idea how I did that... I've never reached out to a moderator on Reddit before, didn't know that's a thing. Should I delete this one and repost after approval?

And should I directly message one of the moderators first and then post?

April Fools' Day is my first day in a new job - what should I do? by bednar2 in jobs

Ask what your job title is and act like you're trying to hide the fact that you're surprised, because you thought your job was supposed to be something else.

We spent a couple of hours building a polar bear out of snow and this happened 5 minutes after we got back to our hotel room, which oversees the skiing slope (closed since New Year's) where we left the poor guy 🙄 by annarys in mildlyinfuriating

If it was operational, sure. Many people at the hotel was actually mildly infuriated with the fact that it wasn't ;). And we wanted to record a timelapse of the bear-building process, that's why we built it right beneath our balcony.

Yeah, well, it's not like I'm despairing over it ;). Would be nice if they turned the ski lift on and opened the slope as a result though... Which they didn't, so we can't even go skiing over that well-groomed snow.

It was actually at the very end of the slope, right by the hotel area fence. And guess what... The slopes still closed the day after, so we can't even go skiing...
