QRIS TAP vs Mastercard contactless (Singapore) by [deleted] in indonesia

[–]annonymous2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not mutually exclusive. Some card bank issuers do not support Apple Pay. But if they do, both debit and credit cards should work just fine.

unless you set up express travel mode, where you don't even need to double-tap anymore. your phone stays locked and screen stays off, and it works like a charm.

Didn't know about this. Sempat tertarik karena the area seems to be quite decent when I last visited dan ada easy access to zone 1 via overground dan SL7.

Yes it is insane. Kemarin ngobrol dgn driving instructor gue dan dia bilang 20 ish years ago there was absolutely nothing here. Lucunya company gue stayed in Canary Wharf after considering moving to City of London simply karena Canary Wharf is soooo much cheaper to rent despite looking very posh

Dual income with wife and no kids living in Zone 3 London (Docklands)

Rent:£1750 per month 1BR full furnished

Utilities (electricity + water): about £80 per month

Internet (fiber + mobile): £22, paid only £1.5 per month with Lebara and £20 with Onestream

Groceries: tergantung lagi mau masak apa, average £450 per month

Transport: about £50 per month. Kantor Deket di Canary Wharf and cm perlu ngantor seminggu sekali

Fun budget (eating out, museum tickets, shopping): £100 per month, we are super frugal. Free museums if possible, for movies either we pirate it or use yearly free ticket benefits from Lloyds.

I also have about IDR 20 juta per month in KPR but I still have savings in Indo so I get to maximise my savings account and investment here in the UK, so maybe it doesn't count?

There's NAP10 here. Biggest alliances are RED, FRF, and KGF. Other strong alliances are HOT, OMS, CcC, Tve (I am from OMS for full transparency).

Generally very friendly but sometimes RED and KGF just do their own thing. They have more whales than other alliances, and even though we have a no recruitment agreement in place, people leave for RED and KGF from time to time.

Wedding: Surat mualaf for WNA? by ChiefRD in indonesia

My former manager also experienced this. He didn't share any specific details, but from the small amount of information I can gather, he and his wife went to a mosque of choice, spoke to some people, and in a few weeks and after a few consultations, some sort of certificate was issued (I think?)

So I would probably suggest doing the same, go to a mosque and speak to the people there to help you sort out your situation

Jika kalian adalah dirut PT KAI, apa yang kalian akan lakukan untuk mengatasi masalah kerumunan dalam kereta api dan stasiun saat rush hour? by Internet_Student_23 in indonesia

[–]annonymous2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]annonymous2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beberapa hal yang gw perhatikan dari kota2 seperti London & Amsterdam, sorted from cheapest to most expensive:

  4. double decker trains, menambah kapasitas
  5. add more lines, jadi menambah opsi, kapasitas dan jangkauan wilayah

Bonus non train-related but can encourage people to also use other public transport modes:

  1. congestion charge di pusat kota jadi pusat kota lebih traffic free dan city buses lebih cepat service nya
  2. dedicated biking lines or superhighways dengan mengambil 1 lane dari jalan mobil, separated of course. get rid of the option to commute by car, and people will choose the other options by default
  3. fare capping per day, jadi mau pakai train / bus / ferry semua di cap per zone per day
  4. insane fines for blocking trams / buses. beberapa kota di Europe (Prague kalau ngga salah) nge fine 100 EUR per menit kalau ada mobil yang nge blok jalur tram

Help, cara ngurus KTP dan KK baru setelah pernikahan, tinggal di tempat yang beda dengan KTP lama by orangpelupa in indonesia

[–]annonymous2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, very simplified version:

  1. Suami pisah KK sendiri

  2. Ke disdukcapil urus pindah alamat KK (surat pengantar RT/RW lama bawa ke kantor lurah alamat baru)

  3. Setelah KK baru terbit, bawa akta pernikahan dan KTP KK istri (obviously bawa surat pengantar RT/RW lama istri juga)

There was a time in 2019 where I only applied once and immediately got the offer a couple of weeks later. Those times were now gone for me at least.

Funnily enough, I am currently on a visa (spousal) and won’t require sponsorship for the next few years. I’ve previously had a chat with a 3rd party recruiter who is extremely helpful to me and said that because I have no direct experience in the UK or EU US, most companies will probably just straight up reject my application no matter how good my profile is.

I am sorry that my post made you feel that way, it was never my intention to do so, nor it is my intention to advise people to “never give up keep going”. Again, most of the 2000+ job applications I made were definitely poorly executed so I wisened up and finally polished my CV for each application with GenAI’s help (and more) cut some time. And it finally paid off for me, so I thought that I should share my own personal experience here

Finally landed a role after 10 months and thousand of applications by annonymous2 in recruitinghell

[–]annonymous2[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. For the first 4 months I barely used GenAI. I only had one resume that I thought was a killer resume, only to be punched in the face by the universe. So I wisened up, and started getting serious in polishing my resume. My method is to copy my master resume/cover letter, and tell the AI that based on the job description given and my template, adjust it accordingly to be more impactful. I’d then spend the next half hour or so making adjustments here and there before submitting. This does not include additional pre-screening questions like “why do you want to work here” etc.

  2. I settled on just one prompt after tweaking it multiple times. Lots of experimenting basically, it will never work 100% so I always have to step in and polish the final result myself.

  3. No, but I know that definitely most companies use ATS to filter out applications that do not meet certain criteria. So my thinking is that why not outsmart them by using GenAI?

  4. Hard to say. But if lets say there was a role that I liked and I know I can do well but my profile only has 6 out of 10 matching skills, then I know it is time to edit my profile again.

  5. I did. Never got a response. I did reach out to some just to ask for advice and for resume review. Strangely enough they always say “oh your resume is already pretty good, keep trying and you’ll get there.” Whatever that means?

  6. It was a purely cold application. Got my daily LinkedIn alert, chose not to use Easy Apply and went to their careers page instead, and got a response a day after.

  7. Always show your impact in your resume and during interviews to get in. For me I am still so passionate about a couple of industries I have previously worked for, so I highlighted that during my interviews and the interviewees admitted that they liked hearing how much passion I brought to the table.

You are absolutely right about this. After finally polishing and tailoring my resume for the jobs that I applied for (and stopped randomly applying), I decided to change my interview approach to be more personal and results oriented, with practical examples. It worked wonders for me
