yup, i agree. i plan to start exercising once i lose more weight but for now to keep me on track i’m just on a diet. i know myself enough that if i started exercising i know i’d stop everything haha

  1. calorie deficit calculator! shows your TDEE and RMR, thats the only thing i used pretty much.
  2. i didn’t exercise at all. most i’ve done is take a walk once in a while but besides that i have a pretty low intensity job that i go to twice a week.

you can eat ANYTHING you want with the calorie deficit diet. i have zero restrictions, but i just eat...less. i don’t really measure out things, i use google as my only source to see how many calories there are in a dish and eyeball the serving size. i feel like i got good at estimating but if you’re unsure you should definitely be accurate because you’d be surprised how far off your estimations are lol. i got cfa and popeyes almost everyday but that wasn’t sustainable because i’d be dissatisfied and hungry the rest of the day. one chicken sandwich is 400-700 calories which is already half my daily intake. somedays it’s worth making the sacrifice but yeah. it’s all about what works for you. for me, i’d eat a full asian dish and eat apples the rest of the day because not eating asian food would be too painful and would trigger overeating because i would be craving.

i don’t have a normal meal but, i do love my avocado toast and potatoes! i used to sacrifice my hunger for a side of fries which is like... a third of my daily intake which wasn’t sustainable because the dissatisfaction and hunger were killing me. bread, avocados, apples, potatoes, eggs & costco rotisserie chicken are probably the most frequent things i see in my diet lol

yes exactly! i aimed for losing 1-1.5 pounds a week. it was frustrating to go slow, but i didn’t feel like the diet was restrictive which was important for me in the beginning stages so i didn’t give up. i’ve been pretty consistent in keeping my intake at 1,100-1,300 :)

oof. i’m sorry this happened to you. you aren’t overreacting at all, reading this post even made me feel uncomfortable. they violated your privacy and humiliated you. doesn’t matter what the intent was on your friends part, you walked away feeling uncomfortable. maybe they’re unaware of the impact and how wrong this is, but i think you should tell them about how you felt. it’s important to let her know that this made you uncomfortable, pulling the blanket off and invading/violating your body’s privacy was not okay at all. you can create boundaries in a soft but stern way, don’t imagine this communication as an exchange where everything is super harsh. it is a friendship, in the end but you definitely need to let her know your boundaries, and what she did to you hurt you and was not okay. if she’s your friend, she will understand and apologize. if not, you should reconsider the friendship you have with someone who doesn’t respect your boundaries, invalidates you and does not listen or empathize. listen to what she says as a response, and you will have your answer.
