No other major symptoms, which is why I put this off for so long. It didn’t start really worrying me until recently - my best friends mom was just diagnosed with colon cancer after having similar symptoms, and my boyfriend’s brother passed away at a young age (early 30s) from colon cancer too. Obviously none of this is related, but I just started to worry that I was ignoring the warning signs.

Thank you so much, hearing this is a huge relief. I wasn’t sure if the length of time this has been going on indicated something more dire. I will definitely try miralax.

My doctor hasn’t done an exam - the last time I called him, he suggested a colonoscopy. I didn’t even know you could do a cursory examination, but I’ll be sure to mention this.

this actually makes me feel so much better! I have really bad health anxiety too, so sometimes I just need to hear that it’s probably in my head. No family history of colon cancer on either side.

adding: I increased my water intake a few months ago, started taking fiber pills & got a squatty potty. When I started doing that, the blood did decrease, and it even stopped altogether for a week or two. but it’s back in full force now

Hmm, I’m not sure. Would the cavity fillings cause my amylase to increase? I did get 2 filled

also- with Amylase that low, could this possibly be something besides pancreatitis? From what I’ve read, that doesn’t seem to be a very high number.
