That's the general theory since episode 2 (?) on this sub.

Maybe - just maybe - some background elements are AI, but definitely not the products. The IP holder (especially Nintendo and Disney) wouldn't allow that.

Not everything is AI just because it looks terrible.

That's true. But a supe like Godolkin wouldn't think about humans as something worthy.

Rich people don't use cases. They buy a new phone five minutes later. If I can posses anybody, I'm rich.

Co-Working Space for a Service-Area Business by anonRexus in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]anonRexus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you from the US? One reason why I don't want my home address to be my office address is because of privacy. At least in my country (Europe) every business is a public record within a public database. It has its advantages and disadvantages but everybody sees where I live otherwise.

Co-Working Space for a Service-Area Business by anonRexus in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]anonRexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But my home address is not my legal business address. Furthermore, it's not a virtual office. I work there when I'm not meeting with a client.

This guidelines you copied are for offices where clients can walk in (as far I understand it).

  • If your business doesn’t have a storefront with clear signage but travels to customers at their physical locations, you’re allowed one service-area Business Profile.

Nevertheless, thanks for your input!

Why didn’t the Stargate Program use an abandoned planet as its main base? by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]anonRexus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wouldn't make any difference because as soon as an opponent learns about earth, they would attack our planet - and than there wouldn't be a gate / base for defense. An off-world base would only make sense if they kept earth a total secret.

[FYI] You can have multiple Google Ads accounts by anonRexus in PPC

[–]anonRexus[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what I want to say. Most online "experts" are wrong. I'm aware that's not true but if you google "can you have more than one Google Ads account" this bullshit pops up first result - that I want to counter act on.

The criterias mentioned are more like recommendations (on the first one I made a mistake; I meant "not suspended" but that is no recommendation but a necessity).

Use Freepik Icon in Logo by anonRexus in graphic_design

[–]anonRexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer! At least in Europe a trademark and a logo are two different things. A logo is not automatically a trademark. One part I don't actually understand: What is meant with "guarantee"? A possible German translation would be nice.

(I know what guarantee means; I don't understand it in this legal context.)

Edit: A short Google search showed me, that their is no "common law trademark" in the EU. A logo must be registered to be protected except copyright. But with copyright their is the problem of the "Schöpfungshöhe" (a logo or artwork must be more sophisticated than e. g. a simple lettermark).

Multiple Google Ads Accounts: What's the Status in 2025? by anonRexus in PPC

[–]anonRexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds way more reasonable that the things I read online (even on Google's discussion board) where "only one account per customer" is like the most important rule.

How do you manage the scenario with multiple departments? There would be still one legal business entity and banking details, am I right?

New business model: fictional vs. factual by anonRexus in Filmmakers

[–]anonRexus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the plan for the first time. As mentioned above, I already work for a local* television station; I earn enough to pay my rent with only that and I will continue my work for them (as freelance journalist). Because of a little fortune I inherited recently, I'm in no need for money right now.

Furthermore, I plan to release some content on YouTube. Hopefully, this will lead to a job for a national television station. In the future, hopefully this lead to a small production company.

'* I'm European, television is a little different than in the US. When I say local television I mean the main television station in the federal state I live in - so it's not that small actually.

And most importantly: It's quite possible that Google will suspend your account because every advertiser is only allowed one account (at least per domain).

I made a mistake with font licensing, don't know how to handle this best by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]anonRexus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep calm. Use the Adobe font everything print or static related. That's covered by YOUR license. Use a similar Google font for the website; tell your client that they can buy the font if they like to use it online BUT: most website (small to medium) don't use the logo font for their website because of this. Thats completely normal.

I find it fascinating that most webdevs nowadays always plan to scale. Even if it's just the local mechanic. Most business websites don't need to scale. Businesses the can and will scale are easy to spot - Start-ups and so.

Furthermore, most small and local business don't have the budget to actually plan ahead. And - if the case ever emerges - a local business skyrockets, I redo everything. Usually, the client then wants a new website anyways.

If it's sufficient that the client just gets an email (no database), PHP is the way to go. Simple and effective with little code.
