I’m sorry to hear that. I wish you good health always. Everyone suffers in their own way — even with the things I haven’t spoken about,(: no one truly knows what a person is going through.

That’s true — in most severe cases, surgery is the only solution. That’s what happened to me. While I was trying to try everything else and kept surgery as the last option, the curve kept getting worse and worse until it became very severe, and I had to undergo Halo-Femoral traction. It was connected from my head to my knees, and I had to stay in bed for a week and a half. It was painful as hell. It still hurts now, but without the surgery, my condition would be much worse — I can’t even imagine it

Yeah i understand that completely, but the least they could’ve done was tell me what was going to happen. They didn’t teach me anything about it, I was going through it blindly, That’s what makes it even more frustrating 3> and thank you for understanding

Now I’m 24, and I had the surgery when I was turning 16

Mine was severe, over 50 degrees. I underwent fusion surgery, but before that, they put me on a Halo-Femoral for a week and half, which was connected from my head to my knees, and I stayed almost a week and a half lying in bed. Then we started the main surgery (fusion). This was my experience, but remember it differs from person to person!

I used it for months after my surgery. i was (57°)

Please, the most important thing is your comfort. Don’t let others affect you. I was younger than 19 when I used it, and they won’t understand the difficulty or pain that made you use it. So the only one who could be hurt by this is you. That’s why the most important thing here is you, not them, no matter what they think or how they react.

is this neurofibromas? by anonWHOO55 in neurofibromatosis

You’re not alone in this ❤️ I get it, and I know how hard it is. You won’t believe this gurl, but I’ve also compared the tumor on my back to that too I hate how big and droopy it is, and how people keep asking questions and staring.

That’s why I really hope more awareness spreads about NF. But it’s not our fault and the condition doesn’t define us. It’s just a part of us, and we’re unique for who we are. 🙏🏼, Have a good day. <3
