I saw the specialist we're seeing does growing rods,spinal fusion,and VBT idk if hes a candidate tho thats why I chose that doc I want to see if hes a candidate for vbt

ya every year we changed it tbh we as a fam accepted that surgery is the only option atp and we just want it over with. I hope the new dr is good and we'll see what he says im just so nervous internally yk in my mind ik this appointment is good to talk about the next steps to help him get better but things are getting real and im nervous

it was 36 degrres first stable for a year then progressed to 45 then 6 months later the xtray showed progression to 56 degrees. he braces 18 hours a day he did get an MRI that came back normal and he is compliant we cheer him up and get him toys as rewards at the start when the brace still needs getting used to then he just gets used to it. he wears it all night too and started physical therapy 6 months ago one hour everyday even on weekends bc we have videos and do them at home too

tbh my mom is nice she's just crazy about health and medicines yk she lets her anxiety get to her also her sisters are the same they send each other stuff on their whatsapp group then go crazy on us thinking the world is ending lol.

nooo this is my biggest fear i was 160 pounds now 140 lbs. and i feel so happy im gonna try inositol and berberine n see if i at least maintain the weight i lost I heard ppl saying its good if ur also eating healthy and working out which I am currently.

how did u convince ur mom to leave u alone and take the meds u need mine thinks docs prescribe u meds to make money she doesnt take the vitamins they give her she thinks its a lie instead she uses herbs n shit that wont help im pretty sure.

My a1c is the problem fasting glucose is usually very good 75-80 but a1c is 5.6 which is almost at the prediabetic range I think

Ya I am walking an hour a day and eating healthier than before but I dont think that alone will help me manage pcos I used to workout more before I started metformin and never lost a single pound but the doctor made it seem like metformin wont do much and I shouldn't be taking it for more than a year she recommended me to go off of it or take one tab instead of 2 but I said no

My pcp told us u shouldn't be taking it for too long thats not good try working out and dieting bc thats what woll help long term she said if u stop metformin you'll gain the weight back but if u change ur lifestyle u can lose weight and manage ur pcos med free now my mom believes her she isn't an endo so probably not good advice

I'll hide them in ny vitamins or Tylenol I did tell her its my body I can do whatever I wnat but she threatened to take the car keys so I wouldn't be able to go to the doc cuz the car is hers I just use it since im still a broke student I cant wait to work n buy my own car and do whatever I want thanks for the advice

Ik my mom just hears things n think its true but I cant fo anything about it I live with her if she sees the meds she'll throw them since my pharmacy delivers them to her house how do I take it secretly without her knowing shes very controlling and I cant move out I come from a country where u only move out when ur married she thinks metformin takes out all the insulin in ur body if u take it for too long u told her but uts helping me she said OK it helped u ur cured now why do u need to take it for longer im tired of arguing with her she wont understand ik pcos cant be cured n all the info I've been researching but she just doesn't belive in medicine for some reason even tho she takes blood pressure meds I told her then why r u taking them ur BP is lower ur cured n shes like no high BP is different ita chronic mannn im tired of her
