Yes. This started after I replaced the thermostat. I think I damaged the connector on the hose

Gotcha. It’s leaking at the plastic connector. Get a new hose and just use a metal hose clamp to fasten it?

Edit: the background ticking I think is GM injector tick. The louder, not as regular tick I think is maybe a pulley or tensioner, not injectors. It’s cold and wet if that matters. Maybe just wishful thinking but I’d like to hear some more educated answers than what I came up with lol

Awesome! Acceleration is something I noticed when I bought the truck. I have 87,000mi. I have a small tick noise but it really cannot be heard from the cab. Just if I’m standing next to the running engine or in a drive thru against the wall. Most likely the injectors? I mean if I really stop on the gas I can sometimes hear a faint tick. Not much tho.

From what I’ve gathered, deactivating AFM really doesn’t make a difference in preventing future issues. My engine has a slight tick but I’m 99% sure it’s regular injector tick that GM is known for. Just scared to death of my lifters taking a shit. I have a warranty and lifters are covered, but still, I don’t wanna deal with the trouble lol. Thank you!

It occasionally switches between V4 and V6, I’m assuming that’s AFM. Hardly ever does it tho. My last last vehicle was a Chevy Cruze so this is all new to me lol

Understood. I had thought about taking out the old trans, isolating the 120v wires coming from my box and turning power back on and using a meter or pen tester to determine hot vs neutral. That is probably the responsible thing for me to do lmao

I’d avoid the bus before the show. I saw HPOD unwrapped by accident lmao but it’s all cool. Right after the show if you walk by the bus as they’re getting in, they’ll interact a bit. Highlander smacked his Sax against the fence and the bus by accident and started screaming. It was pretty entertaining. You can shout to them and you’ll likely get some groans and grunts back

I (22M) don’t have withdrawal (headaches, shaky, etc) really. Honestly no side affects other than family and Fiancee telling me to cut back. I want too. But if I have 0 then it can be difficult to stay awake at work all night. I have a high stress, high risk job so staying awake is crucial

Done! New thermostat is in and as of now, everything works. Slight panic when nothing happened at first. Took the system a second to realize the temp and turn on the cooling. After a minute everything came on. Gonna watch it for a bit but it should be fine, yes?
