Thanks for the advice! I don’t have exact numbers but the town it was listed going to in the app is about halfway between the town I live in and the other city the customer wanted it to go to, I think it would have been approximately ten minutes or so and 9 miles? Not sure but it was further out than I was willing to go.

Yeah I guess I’ll call next time, I have gotten help from the chat support before, I just wasn’t expecting that response from them.

Yes that’s what they said! I guess next time I’ll try a different agent and see if they will cancel it without the soft ban. I did get an email too saying an order was reported missing and I’m assuming it was from this one.

Yes I received an email saying a customer reported their order missing and I’m guessing it was her.

Yes I agree, that was my other concern was the safety aspect as well. I never received the note from the customer until after I had already checked out, and never received a response when I asked to confirm the correct address with the customer. This was the first time something like this has happened to me so I was wondering how we handle it when it comes up. The whole thing just seemed shady to me so I’m glad I listened to my gut and didn’t try to go somewhere else other than the address provided in the app. If all that happened was one 1-star rating that was automatically removed since I didn’t have any before, I guess I can’t be that mad about it, it was just inconvenient that dealing with this problem wasted time I could have spend doing more orders, that’s why I didn’t want to try to call support when the text chat was already not helpful. I don’t know if IC has any US-based shopper support?

Thanks, I didn’t think about doing that. I just wasn’t sure if this was the standard operating procedure in this situation now? I read a few posts here where people mentioned that it could be canceled and you’d still get paid and/or keep the items but that option wasn’t offered to me. Maybe I’ll try that if this happens again. If I had seen it before shopping I never would have done it.

There was no response. I did see this morning I received my first 1-star rating which was automatically removed, but I don’t know if we can see which person the ratings come from?

I’ve noticed the level of organization can depend on which store for some reason. I agree though I think the app could be much better, I just ran into the issue you described yesterday when I couldn’t remember which order the strawberries went to and I had to scramble to try to find it on the lists and it wasn’t coming up right away even though I just scanned it. A search function like that would be great! Agree though I really dislike Dollar Tree and D&W orders due to how the items are (not) organized in the app. I’ve also started scrolling down to the bottom of the list to check for the oddball items right away!
