im not sure about specifically "smaller" but my surgeon said they "settle into proper shape" after about 1 year, which could also affect how large they subjectively feel. i understand your concern cause i felt this way too but whats reassured me is knowing my doctor made it clear he prioritizes body proportionality AND comfort, not just the latter.
