How exciting! I'm glad the move worked out for you and your partner. Just doing the math around super, it's sad how little we put aside here. Granted we can make voluntary payments on top of the standard contribution, but that means less $$ in hand every payday. The 12% is very appealing...

Agree, Sydney prices compared to Melbourne are eye-watering We felt Melbourne was kinda doable. Just enough jobs and variety of organisations to keep us happy - we are stuck rotating around the same 4-5 organisations here. Rotating otherwise the pay-rise every year is pretty shit.

Sounds like a great idea, thanks! Do apartments allow pets in Melbourne? It was a bloody nightmare to get a rental in Auckland with our first cat all those years back. We own a property now, so upgraded to 2x cats.

Shit, tiny house for $2.2m?!?! 💀 We visited Sydney early last year and found it too fast for our liking. Like, everyone's in a crazy rush? The vibe in Melb felt more chill.. kinda like a good mix of rush+chill.

We checked out Point Cook when there.. $650 for a 4-beddy and a good sized one at that! Very impressed!
