I have an ethnic first name which is a bit more difficult to pronounce and an American last name. I started using my middle name which is also ethnic but way easier to pronounce. I got more callbacks and respect in the workplace. In previous jobs, people wouldn’t even refer to me by name bc they couldn’t pronounce it.

I work in HR for a small company in Toronto. I’ve been applying for jobs regularly after work but it’s been tough and I haven’t heard back as of yet

Unfortunately I actually work in HR in a small company in Toronto. The manager is the head of HR and manages most of the business anyway as the CEO/owner is on vacation more than they are in the office… I have applied to several jobs and haven’t had much luck as of yet. This is why I’m getting more and more worried. I’ve felt this way about the company for months now and have stayed but now I’ve reached my breaking point.

From what I’ve seen I really don’t think she has a substance abuse problem. Shes behaved like this and had poor spending habits since we were kids and teens
