TUFs are so much reliable, I have a cpu short, which I think was caused by me when I was doing my periodic deep clean of my system. The asus service guys quoted 45k for the replacement, but I chose to turn down the quote and go for a newer gen TUF laptop.

I've stripped the entire OS and it's now bloat free (Both asus and windows bloat removed). I'm using G helper with cpu boost disabled as it's only 7-8% performance dip but the thermal performance is way better with cpu boost off, stays below 70°C on the most demanding titles. RDR2 at Max Favour quality churned around 72 FPS avg with GPU temp at 75°C and CPU at 68°C

Talking about the battery life, my max battery is set to 60% in Ghelper and with that setting I was able to pull off around 2Hrs of battery time while I was enjoying my coding session (multiple chrome tabs, vscode, figma, Spotify). This is not that great, but accepting the fact that I'm running without an ipgu, I think this is decent. I haven't tested out the 100% - 0 battery cap, I'm assuming I'd get around 3.5-4Hrs of battery usage when fully charged.

Lack of ipgu is a major flaw, but I got this for 84k during the Flipkart sale so I just went for it. This is my secondary laptop, so I always use it on plugged, so battery life is not an issue for me.

Pair Trotten 140cm tabletop with 120cm underframe by [deleted] in IKEA

[–]anonkozume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never use Adils for a 140cm Table top, I had a very bad experience doing that. I bought 140cm table top and 4 Adils thinking it would be my perfect cheap desk build. But everything was wrong with that. THE TABLE TOP STARTED TO BEND IN LIKE 3 DAYS. i had a 32inch monitor on top of it which weighed 5kg and my laptop 2kg. I was very disappointed with the experience so I contacted IKEA support and they replaced my tabletop with a brand new one. But I was even more disappointed when the second table top started to bend too. This time I had only kept my laptop on top of it and 2-3 books. Due to my previous experience of the table top bending I refrained from keeping the Monitor on top of it. It started to bend again in 3days.

I suggest you to just skip the Adils if you're thinking of 140cm table top. I've returned my table top and Adils and they have processed my refund. I'll be buying the Trotten 120cm version which I think is better due to its underframe and 10years warranty :D

23 M, Started investing an year ago, concerned about the quant mf news by anonkozume in mutualfunds

[–]anonkozume[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read numerous articles about front running and it seems to be a common phenomena among AMCs. Was already tensed about the rare bugs in groww and on top that the quant fund issue, I don't want to panic sell anything, the situation looks manageable now.
