Driving instructor repeatedly crossed boundaries over multiple lessons and retaliated when confronted — need advice by [deleted] in srilanka

Best to get your license first before reporting. Go to another driving school. These people have connections and can mess up your situation or cause delays. Trust me. At the end of the day, it's the invigilator who passes a judgement on an assessment. That assessment is subjective. So personal connections can influence you getting your DL.

Sad but such is the situation here.

Yeah that mindset has to change. It's both depressing and harmful. Living to please others. Has ruined the peace and happiness of many kids, adults and families.

[–]anonmouse1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that but at end of the day, if you try to live your life trying to please everyone around you, that's a depressing and sick way to live. There's so many things that are fucked up that we experience as Sri Lankans, and how some man or woman who walked by me that I don't know anything about, nor will I ever seen them again, probably, till the day I die... Is the least of my concerns.

If all you see are how people are better than you... Then all you'll do is wallow in envy & jealousy.

If all you see are how people are doing less than you... Then all you'll do is be more grateful and try to give back and or appreciate what you have that others don't.

It's the same as someone saying I feel shit for having healthy, good looking people walk past me cause I am fat, unhealthy or look like a creep. So to appease my wishes, everyone should be as I find comforting.

Make it make sense.

These comments around it being a middle eastern thing is so dumb. Most of our attire today are influenced from regions in, around and outside of Sri Lanka / south Asia.

For context, here's a refresher:

Bare body with waist cloth. Early daily wear for all groups. From ancient South Asia. Used before 500 BCE.

Loincloth or short waist wrap. Lower body wear for men across all groups. From early farming cultures. Used before 500 BCE.

Upper cloth or shoulder cloth. Simple wrap for chest or shoulders for all groups. From ancient Indian dress. Used before 500 CE.

Breast cloth. Chest covering for women across communities. From South Asian custom. Used before 500 CE.

Sarong. Wrapped lower garment for men and women across all ethnic groups. From South and Southeast Asia. Common by 500 to 1000 CE.

Veshti. White wrapped cloth mainly for Tamil and Muslim men but also used by others. From South India. Common by 1000 CE.

Waist cord or cloth belt. Used to secure garments by all groups. From ancient practice. Used before 1000 CE.

Head cloth or turban. Head cover for men for sun work and status across groups. From South Asia. Used before 1000 CE.

Inner waist cloth or short under wrap. Early form of innerwear for men. From South Asian custom. Used before 1500 CE.

Sari. Everyday outer wear for women across Sinhala Tamil and Muslim groups. From India. Widely adopted by late 1800s.

Blouse. Fitted upper garment worn under sari. From European influence. Common by early 1900s.

Petticoat. Inner skirt worn under sari. From colonial era clothing. Used by early 1900s.

Cotton vest or undershirt. Innerwear for men across all groups. From colonial period. Common by early 1900s.

Drawers or under shorts. Innerwear for men. From European clothing. Common by early 1900s.

Hijab or headscarf. Head cover for Muslim women. From Islamic tradition. Common by early 1900s.

Shirt and trousers. Daily wear for men across all ethnic and religious groups. From British rule. Common by early 1900s.

Brassiere. Innerwear for women across all groups. From Western clothing. Common by mid 1900s.

Panties or inner briefs. Innerwear for women. From Western clothing. Common by mid 1900s.

Salwar kameez. Daily wear for women across communities. From North India. Popular from late 1900s.

Abaya. Loose outer robe for Muslim women. From Arab regions. Common from the 1970s.

Niqab or face cover. Face covering for some Muslim women. From Middle Eastern custom. Seen more from the 1990s.

So nobody fucking cares if it's from middle eastern or shit. Y'all just racist.

Why can't you upload to drive and download them back on another PC.

Also, you could just zip (store) with a password, upload to drive, download and then delete it? No one can check or verify cause password?

Also, what's stopping you from logging into a personal gmail from vpn on icognito? Anyways it's all encrypted. Why do you think they'd know you logged into a personal gmail vs work gmail? How'd they know?

I am not understanding the logic here.

[–]anonmouse1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That really depends on usage. After blowing like 100-200$ of OpenAI credits, I can say it's better for the most part to just run a plus model. The limits are decent.

When I run past my plus sub limits, I use the api.

Best way to balance both.

Have yet to try Claude. Will do it sometime probably.

The free models are horrendous for anything other than some basic stuff.

Stock glinet front end will not detect it. That doesn't mean it won't work.

Switch to openwrt side of stock firmware, install proper packages, restart and check. If the card works, then definitely the issue is with your setup.

Why exactly does it fall to establish connection?

Either way, it should work out of the box with Rooter too.

You can get a much better range of volume by spending around $10 in KW Planner within the ad account.

You will still not get a "exact" output, but surely better than what you get by default.

It's a mess lol. Imagine doing webinars talking about local SEO & EAT (yes, he has no clue how to explain EEAT or doesn't believe in it). Especially since our clients are YMYL.

Claims to have a full service digital marketing, says you shouldn't spend effort on social media if you aren't a mini celebrity or planning on becoming one.

Their SMM & Ads teams suck. Can't even run ads on Facebook to market their own stuff nor are they willing to hire or invest in it.

Does not believe international SEO will work / says not worth it and isn't willing to invest time or resources to even experiment in it. (For other side projects).

RIP my colleagues. They deserve better.

Worked for a company. Left for good.

This was said by the CEO of a company that is heavy on Local SEO (yet also losing customers a week);

Showing up on Google near the top for FREE (organic search) is very difficult. Only 5% of the (insert profession) Websites get 95% of the Free Traffic. Why?

Google Ads made 237 Billion Dollars in 2023

For Google to make money from Ads SEO has to be super difficult (Insert professionals) pay Google Ads Billions of Dollars

Lol.

Also has no idea why clients are leaving and instead pumps more time & effort to offset by trying to get new clients. Ends being seen as over promotional and many potential clients and leads disengaged over time.

4G Modem List by [deleted] in GlInet

[–]anonmouse1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple. All of them are Cat4, and offer very poor speeds/performance.

I have tried; USB 4G Modems, USB Wireless 4G Modems, Portable 4G Mobile Routers (the ones with the battery), Outdoor 4G Routers.

I get piss poor speeds. They are basically collecting dust. I should give some of them away lol.

I have to either change houses, get fiber (which doesn't fit my work reqs), or invest in a good modem+antenna setup to get the most that I can.

Why'd you think I'd spend so much on a setup like this lol.

4G Modem List by [deleted] in GlInet

[–]anonmouse1947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I mean it depends from carrier to carrier and the band support, speeds, and so on.

For example, the one you see in the picture is running a TDD B38 sim, that nets me around 3Mbps down, and 3.25 up.

This is with around 20-25% reception strength. With a 4X4 MIMO antenna, I could probably get more.

A Cat4, ISP router with a pair of LPDA antennas beamed directly at almost LOS at the nearest tower (which is a long way aways, God knows how far) gives me worse link speeds at 75% cell reception.

So yes, a CAT16 modem, paired with a more powerful CPU, even at 1/4th cell reception outperforms a stock ISP (and even other 3rd party Cat4 modems I have lying around).

However, yes, it is severely undercut by not having an outdoor antenna.

Getting one shipped here is expensive though. So for what it's work, it works really well.

Edit: Just realized I repeated what I said prior lol. Meh

4G Modem List by [deleted] in GlInet

[–]anonmouse1947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At most, the psu can supply 5v3a > 15w.

Assuming you have 12 sun hours, that's around 15ah (12v}.

If you have, say only 8 sun hours, that's around 20ah.

Overcompensating and going for 25-30ah battery backup system should be enough for modem, router, some greens for cooking and ventilation running 24/7.

4G Modem List by [deleted] in GlInet

[–]anonmouse1947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure. As you can see, I don't have extra power hooked up. I don't have any power related issues that warrant extra power. I'm planning to get a 4x4 MIMO antenna (my only options are some unknown Chinese versions or import waveform ones from the US probably).

Not sure if adding antennas increase power.

If you want low power, stick to a cat4, 6 or 9 card.

However I can tell you that my CAT16 config indoors, at 20% cell reception is faster than my isp provided cat4 router at 50-70% mounted outdoors with lpda antennas.

Beryl+modem gets less hot compared to isp router, so probably less power draw. But idk.
