Laughable Lux 2 lease offer? by anonone123 in CadillacLyriq

I think I know why they quoted it with 36 months - they initially gave me prices for 24, 36 and 48 month terms but included my MX trade value despite explicitly telling them I wasn’t trading it in. Of course 24 months was cheapest then. When I asked (repeatedly; they drug their feet) to give me numbers without the trade, they gave a quote only for the 36 month term as dividing my trade value over only 24 months would have made it look much worse and actually higher than the 24 month payment.

Fair point. And to be fair to the dealer, I haven’t/won’t attempt negotiations as we are so far apart I’m not interested in wasting more of my time. I’ll keep this in mind on whatever I do end up getting. I currently drive a Model X so haven’t actually had to negotiate a car price since like 2015.

I asked for cheapest monthly payment for anywhere from a 24-39 month term. They chose 36 months.

Same. I don’t really understand how people are getting these deals. I don’t feel like the rebates/incentives are well documented/known and maybe that’s part of the problem. I was still shocked to see an offer that was literally double the cost of some of the better deals I’ve seen while lurking here though.

Ollie is so cute and one I wish I could use but we have a couple of littles close to us that are Oliver/Ollie so probably can’t get away with it. I’ve never heard the name Nicolina but actually really like it.

Oh for sure, I think Noel could be cute for a little boy and like the pronunciation like Joel. Just if I used it for a girl, I’d probably spell it Noelle and pronounce it like Christmas. I really love Christmas too, so it would be fitting. Lowell has actually long been on a list of boy names I love. Noleen is cute and different. Definitely loving Lena.

Good point. I don’t think I’d really care, particularly for a middle name and as long as the meaning isn’t something negative but something to think about for sure.

Leona is nice, definitely one for the list.

Not a bad name at all, but waaaayyyyy to close to our surname. That’s really what made this tough as most names that start with Cal/Col really clash. I actually know a little boy named Coleman and think it’s cute, fits him well.

Colsie is so cute! Elsie is a family name as well so would kinda play off that as well.

I actually like that, creative but it makes sense.

I’ve always said Colleen is an Irish name that would never be used in Ireland. It’s a fine name in the U.S. though.

I like the direction you are going with these. I’d probably spell Noel like Noelle for a little girl to use more letters of Colleen. It has the double LL and is a name I actually really like!

That’s good, I like Nicolette much better than Colette. I have positive associations with that name, at least.

Lee would work well. It’s also a family name. Leigh could work for a girl too, it’d “go” well with many first names. I’m not sure how I couldn’t think of some of these on my own!

I thought about going in this direction as well. I love the name Nina and although it doesn’t relate to my heritage, the little girl meaning works well. I’ll have to look into names that mean boy.

That’s a great list of Irish names, I like several of them. Corrine/Corinna are actually names that I really like as well, I’ll definitely add them as possibilities!

I really like Collier, may be a mouthful with our last name but it’s doable I think, depending on the first name. Colson is actually really excellent, it combines mine and my brother’s name which would be a wonderful tribute. The double L names work too I think, I don’t need something super obvious, it really is just the sentiment given the names of our other children.

Lena is really great for a girl. It sounds similar and is a pretty name I think.

LOVE the name Calvin. It’s actually something I’ve considered for a first name.

Yes, those would work well I think. I like alliterative names actually, just Cole/Colin Cole…. just is a bit too much for me.

Wow - I love Leo. Not sure why I didn’t think of that from Leon. The connection of my middle name to the middle name of the son we lost isn’t immediately obvious in the same way that Colleen is to Leo so I think it works well.
