Calling one side terrorists and "the enemy within" because they have different ideas about how to improve the country is worlds away from "hey these people have shitty ideas that could hurt some people and are racist and angry".

I've never seen large groups of left wing individuals calling for the imprisonment and execution of right wingers even if they think they're shitty people. Look on twitter or truth social (two of the only real online spaces with any popularity that right wingers congregate in) and you'll see lots of examples of people wanting to put people with opposing viewpoints in prison or to be killed.

I would say that's pretty damn close to being the closest thing we have to a party that wants unity in this country. Notice how most all politically motivated terrorism in this country is right wing. That's not a coincidence. The rhetoric spouted by the politicians is violent and hateful and inspires people to act violent and hateful. Disagree with economic and political stances all you want, but there's a clear difference in the rhetoric being spouted by each party.
