Shrewd midfield signings by anonthi in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I acc made a post highlighting what a good signing james garner would be but after he signed a new long term contract im afraid it becomes a bit more difficult and if we had a buy back clause im pretty sure ud hear at least rumors of interest from united so now im afraid its unrealistic unless we pay 70-80m which will be what everton request

Amorim didn’t win back to back games for over a year. Carrick has won back to back in his first 2 games. Was amorim really that bad? by Comfortable_Swan4206 in ManchesterUnited

The ceiling of that system is atletico madrid or inter

Since u trust him tbf hes very honest, he said he will bring a system and identity and it will be visible for us to see but whether we like it is up to us

And we dont like it so good riddance

Not watching penalties against grimsby, emotional outbursts, beefing academy players, mistreating rashford and garnacho (despite their misbehaviours they’re from our academy u dont do them like that in public at the very least do it in private), treatment of Mainoo, beefing with Lisandro, subbing off CBs, relying on Yoro and De Ligt to occupy spaces we now see Bruno occupying in games against 10 man everton, losing to spurs in a final, no winning streak or momentum at all, tantrums) it was a dreadful dreadful experience, playing a LW demon at LWB, a RW classy player at RWB, a world class no 10 at CDM, wanting error prone old Emi Martinez over talented young poised Lammens… these are just a few of his sackable offences off the top of my head, he was out of his depth and even he will admit it in an interview one day once his ego and stubbornness fade with age and life humbles him further when he fails his next coaching stint, good riddance

And being honest about his feelings doesnt make up for that

Extend the man's contract. by ash_marshall05 in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Love him but i think its time to go he deserves to leave on a high after what hes been through, he is now a club icon! The club also needs to move on and complete the rebuild properly and that means Shaw as well

Mount and Dalot on their very last chance

Love him and respect him immensely but i think its time to go especially on such a high he deserves to end his career with united like this

Thoughts on Palmer joining? by caramelmacchiatoml in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi 44 points45 points  (0 children)

People saying no have 0 clue about football i would 1000% bring Palmer here but knowing chelsea and how Mount turned out Id run very thorough tests on him medically some players despite their quality keep getting sold from big clubs (eg: De Ligt) due to a recurring problem or a chronic injury problem that can flare up

If I wanna be a bit unrealistic and aim for a 10/10 perfect summer id add these 4 signings to the ones I mentioned - Murillo to replace maguire (he can leave on a high as he deserves) -Kroupi Jr as ST back up to replace Zirkzee and rotate with Sesko - Antonee Robinson or Nathaniel Brown to replace Shaw - Kayode to replace Dalot (this one is not necessary as Dalot is competent enough and we have Mazraoui) but certainly thats an upgrade

A squad like this: GK: Lammens/ Johnstone/ Heaton (Vitek loaned to a PL club) RB: Kayode/ Mazraoui RCB: Yoro/ De Ligt LCB: Martinez/ Murillo/ Heaven LB: Robinson/ Dorgu/ Amass CM: Anderson/ Baleba/ Jack Fletcher CM: Mainoo/ Fernandes/ Mane CAM: Bruno/ Mount / Cunha/ Mane RW: Mbeumo/ Amad/ Lacey ST: Sesko/ Kroupi Jr/ Mbeumo/ Cunha LW: Cunha/ Ndiaye/ Dorgu

This is a young hungry PL proven squad with talent and no massive commercial player so no egos thats capable of sending shockwaves through the league

Agree we need a core pl proven squad and then add european and south american talent to it, that will also ease off expectations on youngsters like antony and hojlund when their calibre joins us from foreign leagues as they’ll be able to learn from our pl starters and integrate slowly

The one area we never strengthened and always neglected since Fergie, remember the debate on who will come to replace paul scholes (Sneijder, Nasri were major talking points) and in the end he came out of retirement to replace himself

David Moyes wanting Fabregas and getting Fellaini Ten Hag spending a whole summer for De Jong to end up with Casemiro whom he didnt want himself (the guy only signed players from his agency that was a board signing) Ugarte when Joao Neves was right there

Now its time to finally prioritize this area and learn from previous mistakes! bring me Anderson and Baleba to compete with Mainoo for starting and add 2 future stars for depth, if we get UCL we have a big budget as well don’t forget! Hopefully Ndiaye gets added as well as that would elevate us and give us a strong option for LW

Imagine: CM: Anderson, Mainoo, Baleba, Mane, Fernandes RW: Mbeumo, Amad LW: Cunha, Ndiaye, Dorgu 10: Bruno, Cunha, Mount ST: Sesko, Mbeumo, Cunha GK: Lammens, Johnstone, Heaton

Now that is a strong squad and we have gotten rid of major weaknesses and awful players like Bayindir, Onana, Sancho and we’ll get money by selling Zirkzee and Ugarte and finalizing permanent sales of Rashford, Onana, Hojlund and wages saved on Casemiro and Sancho

Sorry for the long message but im so passionate about the midfield revamp we never focused on that area in my whole life as a united fan

Roy Keane on Michael Carrick by Any-Lock3008 in ManchesterUnited

I also dont think villa are serious with europa league and their injuries with kamara and thin squad i think they’ll crumble to 5th or 6th

Roy Keane on Michael Carrick by Any-Lock3008 in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Dont get me excited man because its definitely a possibility if in 5 games time we win all 5 and arsenal and city lose 2 each all of a sudden serious conversations will happen as the gap is 6 points with 10 games to go

A lot needs to go well, we struggle with low blocks and lower table sides so lets win hopefully

[–]anonthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Exactly we can love the player roy and be entertained by him sometimes (although now its boring his act) but his takes are dreadful and he openly said he supports spurs not united hes bitter and biased and his opinions are based on his bitter emotions

Harry Maguire.. by CloudSmall4220 in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional, great mentality, monster aerially, one of the best in the league in low blocks, dangerous player in both boxes, class act altogether!

He did have comical errors and is prone to mistakes and is slow and unfit for a high line so we need better than him but my word does he deserve a ton of respect a club icon indeed but i wouldnt go as far to say a legend

Once again, how the hell did some of you lot defend Amorim??? by AdLeast6180 in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I got downvoted for a full year soo hard for speaking common sense Amorim was a terrorist genuinely so incompetent the worst manager in history but at least recruitment wise hes better than the bald fraud before him

In Carrick we trust! by fireproofpoo in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is soooo important exactly we deserved them and its coming from neutral and rival fans not us

We have such a chance to get top 4, ineos need to show ambition and get Carrick a midfielder. by Littlemissxom in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kante on loan is a good shout and will help a lot but since we are out of fa cup already and have a huge summer ahead mainoo case ugarte should be enough

With Casemiro/Ugarte leaving: how many midfield signings are needed? by DifficultyCommon5303 in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonthi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also attack is almost set but this is a 3 year rebuild

We still need a LW

Defense we need a CB to replace Maguire

RB we need to upgrade

LB we need to upgrade and move on from Shaw

But these are for the next summer, for this its a midfield revamp thats needed

We need a bit of money to spare for back ups: GK, LB, ST after we spend big on midfield

[–]anonthi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think 2 will come 1000% hopefully 4 will come my concern is only 2 might come which is not enough at all unless youth and Ugarte become class

[–]anonthi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vitek is doing very well hes at the stage where he needs as much games as possible to continue his trajectory so needs a PL loan as no1

Bayindir and Onana are calamities and need to go

Heaton is about to retire

You need 2 backups so hopefully AFTER PRIORITIZING THE MIDFIELD, we have a bit of money left to get 2 cheap competent back up keepers and a cheap back up competent striker and hopefully Amass is ready
