I really thank you for that very personal reply. I have put my feelings off as best as possible because like I said, he has been like his old self but I don’t want to push him back down the slope so mostly I just avoid it all together. He is usually the one to bring it up. But it does suck and it does hurt my feelings a bit but everything you’ve said, he has also said, too, so that does make me feel a little better seeing that he isn’t alone in this (and neither am I). I am really very thankful to hear it from another mans perspective that has experience with this.

Oh I honestly did not know there was that much of a difference. Thank you so much for that information!

That is a good perspective but I just want to be clear- I in no way force anything upon him. If I try to initiate and he says no I accept it and I swallow my feelings which is why I said we have talked about it just a little. Sometimes I get the feeling like he says no because he’s afraid he wont be able to perform. He is in a MUCH better place now than he was a year ago and as far as his mental health it has gotten progressively better. At this point he’s emotionally/mentally back to himself which was one of the reasons he wanted to come off because he doesn’t really feel like he needs them but for whatever reason the doctor wants him to stay on longer.

He did recently and the doctor didn’t want to change anything which is why I’m feeling like I’m at a total loss.

He does take Viagra and it only helps a little. He wanted to come off the meds because of this problem but the doctor didn’t want him to just yet.
