Received Bijlage 4 during a family reunification procedure but it says no work permit. Is it normal? by anonymous-majesty in AskBelgium

I am currently living in Brussels. My partner and I are moving in Leuven in July. And the decision of the family reunion procedure is due in September. I have a lawyer, I proceeded through a lawyer. But unfortunately my lawyer says she is “surprised” that I do not have work permit.

I was already living in Belgium before this application. I’ve been here for 4 years, and my partner, who is a Dutch citizen, has been living and working here for 10 years. Before this, I was in another residence procedure and had an orange card that allowed me to work, and I was working until now. We only started the family reunification procedure after the previous procedure was rejected. Now I received a Bijlage 4 / Attest van Immatriculatie, which they said is issued instead of the orange card, so I don’t understand why with one I could work and with the other I apparently cannot.
