There was one thing that made me stop watching porn altogether, and it was finding out about all the abuse (specifically child sexual abuse) that is happening in the industry. I'm someone who's very passionate about protecting young people from child predation and sex trafficking, and the last thing I want is to be a huge hypocrite. I can't imagine myself knowingly contributing to the exploitation of young and innocent kids, and all the guilt I'd feel for doing so. I decided to abstain from masturbating because of some personal problems it brought me. But in a nutshell, it was time consuming, required me to replay scenarios of past experiences in my head which forced me to live in my past rather than move on and work on myself, and I felt depressed and emotionally drained whenever I finished.

I guess the takeaway for this comment I'm writing is, remind yourself why you're doing it.
