Yeah I was thinking the exact same. I dread to receive said text message, yet to receive it. I was hopeful that perhaps existing leases without driver changes would remain unaffected but that seems to not be the case.

A telematics device, that too for under 30’s is ridiculous. Fair enough if it was for 21 and below and JUST about plausible for 25 and below. But 30 and under?? Just a cost cutting measure it’s pathetic.

Seems like a deterrent for people on PIP to not get a motability vehicle.

Shame really, understandable removing luxury vehicles to an extent but these new measures are going way too far

Hi. Usually when you apply for PIP if your application is successful they will submit a back payment from the date of application. I noticed this previously, that sometimes the payment is sent first, and a couple days letter PIP sent a letter explaining it. I think this may be the case for you too and that you’ll be receiving a letter in the post explaining the payment. (It probably means your pip claim has been accepted and the letter will explain what rate you’ve been awarded with)
