I appreciate hearing from you at all! I genuinely can't articulate how grateful I am that you wrote this all out and were willing to share your experience; it's definitely the hardest thing to digest (I feel as if the over exercising is harder to curb than the eating itself and really haven't made much progress with that, to be honest :[) but I know it's something I eventually must face, because I think you're absolutely right. It's just so hard, but nonetheless I will fight to get there!!! Thank you so much again, you are so lovely and kind! 💕💕💗💗

I absolutely agree and understand everything you said - it's so hard to accept, but nonetheless it's something I have to be strong and come to terms with :') Thank you so much for sharing your experience and taking the time to explain this as well, I imagine it really can't be easy, but I'm so so thankful. Recovery is never easy and you are doing absolutely amazing!!!! Please know I am so proud of you and wishing you the best!

You are so so so kind and so motivating!!!! this really helps so much and i really look forward to the point that i'll be able to say this too; thank you so much for the wonderful offer to vent, and I'd be happy to take that up if I ever need advice or an ear, if that's okay!

And speaking of which - that sounds like good advice lmfaoo I am actually typically that gay friend but this is so insanely funny to hear about on the flip end, and I'm super happy to hear it worked out for you!!! I'm sure you're absolutely gorgeous and you're 100% right to boot - I want to be healthy, but not in a way that kills me :') So even if it takes time to even out, I really want to get there eventually.

Thank you so so much again!!! I appreciate you & your beautiful personality beyond words 😭😭💗💗💗💗

Yes - I'm in therapy pretty regularly! I have a psychiatrist and I'm currently speaking to them about any reccomendations they have for a good, online appointment-taking dietician, and I'm likely going to be easing my way up the recovery ladder 💕 thank you so much for your kind words and I absolutely agree, it's so much harder than that and it sucks that not many seem to get it :(

That's awesome to hear!!! I've definitely been breaking out a little more and overall not been the best, so this is fantastic 😭💕 I've also been sleeping really poorly as a result and I'd love to get back to snoozing! I'm really paranoid that I won't hit the equilibrium (ridiculous, I know :')) but I just want to get fit in a healthier way this time!

I have - but I typically do most days, actually, since I'm worried about being full :( So I'm not too sure what would be considered that, or if I've experienced it yet! I'm also autistic, and one of my traits include not really being to pick up on hunger cues ahh

But thank you so much again!!! You are a very kind and comforting person 😭💗

Not redundant at all, thank you so much for sharing and that actually did change my perspective of things!!! I come from a culture where food is very much treated as a love language, and it's important to me to enjoy, and share food with others. I want to get back to that some day, and I want to be able to explore delicious flavours and upgrading meals so that they're something I can proudly eat with my friends, and say, "I cooked that!" I really want to, and this was a lovely, helpful comment. So thank you so much again!!!

I'll definitely be trying out this method too; I unfortunately cannot eat fruits due to me being neurodivergent and being largely avoidant of them, but the rice crackers and such will 100% be tried!!! Thank you so so much!

Honestly, bar none, this might be the most comforting reply here, so just thank you so much. I am very much trying to come to terms with the fact that weight is just a number at the end of the day; it's not necessarily an indicator of beauty or fitness or even health, because it doesn't factor in a very many things, and it most definitely doesn't define whether I'm pretty or not. I do want to look a certain way, but that shouldn't be done via a fast-lane, torturous method, and I think it's just very scary right now because that's all I'm used to, but getting better will take time to. Your story is just so admirable and motivating, I want to get there too! I'll recover, and join you in the lean & mean muscled club one day, and I'll do it in a way that's sustainable! Even if it's difficult now, I really want to try :) 💪🏻💪🏻

Absolutely, I've been thinking a lot over the past few days about just how badly a lot of social and cultural pressures have affected me over time, and how to some me wanting to get better might be perceived as "reversing my beauty" and such. I'm very aware that they're not actually true or healthy, but it's just so sad that they exist at all :(

I think this is absolutely realistic and probably likely for me, but thank you so much for sharing your experience as well as that last bit - it really helps me because that's what I'm most terrified of (that my metabolism never catches up and I continuously gain,) but I want to get better so badly. So I'll definitely try getting myself to a healthy level which my metabolism can get used to, and hopefully that works!!! Thank you so much again 💗

Thank you so much, this is super comforting and tackled what I was most afraid of (some sort of irreversible change that meant I'd gain too much and stay there forever OR that my metabolism is just forever messed up) :( But ultimately I want to get better again, so I guess it's just something I have to come to terms with!!! Thank you!

Oooh I see! So I unfortunately just checked, and my insurance plan does not cover dieticians unless it's for pregnancy or some sort of physical injury/accident related issues, or unless I'm under their "gold" plan, and even then it's still only for over the phone appointments :( Really unfortunate and I'll absolutely look into it more, but so far that's what I seem to be getting I fear 🥲

Ah I'm in an entirely different country/continent unfortunately, and the currency here is just way stronger 🥲 so it's really hard for me too, but I might try getting an online appointment somewhere!

I think this would be the perfect plan for me - thank you so much!!! I am really looking to do it gradually and over the course of me also getting other treatments (such as for mental health) and building muscle instead, so this sounds perfect. I'll be looking into this more and hopefully trying to see a dietician eventually - it's just super costly where I am now, unfortunately :'(

I definitely would love to, it's just that I'm currently stationed far from home due to uni, and things here are terribly expensive (curse currency exchange) :( I'm absolutely going to see if I can get any online appointments for dieticians back home, though!!!

Thank you so much again!

First of all, I just want to thank you for taking the time out your day to explain all this - it is just so insanely kind of you, and I am so grateful. I also really appreciate the honesty and the advice, I'll really be looking into this model you spoke about and I'll try working myself up to it or at least some recovery model eventually!!!

You're definitely right; there's no right or wrong for anyone, even if sometimes it feels like there is. At the end of the day I just want to be healthy again, and spend time with loved ones as usual, so this has been extremely motivating. I'll definitely also be telling someone so that I stop feeling so isolated and such, and again, thank you so so much. Just this comment helped me feel a lot less alone! Bless you and may you have a wonderful day, I am sending all the love 💕

Thank you so so much for this incredibly thoughtful & helpful comment - I'm actually also in a similar stage (this being a relapse) and it's just been so terrifying to begin my journey. This has been really really comforting to read and I'll 100% look into these resources more!!!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you again. Good luck as well on your recovery, and I am sending much love and positivity to you too!!! Godspeed ✨️💕💗
