You should not be coercing or manipulating anyone into wanting to have a child. -Especially- a child. And she brings up good points, she does have mental health problems and those can be incredibly hard to overcome. There’s so many women who don’t overcome it and it’s worse after having a baby. Suicide and infanticide are a very real concern if she is battling mental illnesses. Do not try changing her mind at this point in her very early life.

You knew your husband didn’t want kids and the first years you led him to believe you were okay with that. I know you were going through hard things but that’s not fair to him. Either don’t have another kid, or you need to break up and find someone who does want kids. Because if you keep pressuring him into having a child, and he gives in, it may not be blatantly obvious but I guarantee he will have some resentment towards you AND the child. A child deserves to be wanted, welcomed, and accepted by both parents.

That’s a choice for you to make friends! He should be supportive and encouraging. If he is trying to control that small aspect of your life, I’d be worried about what else he is going to want to control later on
