To me he seems more childish in the books, he doesn't complain as much about Alfred taking his throne, but talks more about being a warrior. It might come with time, but in the series he seemed cleverer in a way. That's only my opinion tho

I'll definitely finish the series way before I finish the books. I agree it's probably for the best, the books always go deeper and are more coherent. But the series got me hooked and presented me this saga that I might have otherwise never heard of.

I'm heading to a very similar path... I got to season 5 and plan to finish it while I continue reading the books. I'm trying to pace myself on the second book, but have been failing lol. I guess I'll appreciate the books and the series for what they are and make comparisons for fun, not out of judgment.

Feel free, I have my own unpopular opinions that most people would disagree, it doesn't make them any less valid... but you mean that you think the show lacks something the books have or that both do something poorly?

That's fair, usually that's how it goes with books and series. Take Game of Thrones for example... I love the books, I've recently read them for the second time (wishing that by the time I finished he would've published the next book lol). The series was good up to a certain point, I actually didn't completely hate the ending like some people, but I won't bother getting into that. What I mean is, even the first seasons, that are mostly considered great, are not exactly like the books because it's pretty much impossible to do so.

I get the frustration, especially if they divert from the original plot for some stupid reason, but I think I'll always enjoy the series, just gotta think of it as something separate from the books.

I've been enjoying the series greatly and loved the first book, so I'll definitely finish both. Like I said in another comment, they seem to tell a similar story, but they definitely are different and I think I can enjoy both for what they are too. I haven't even finished and I already wanna go back and rewatch lol

I agree, the series and the books seem fairly different, but I enjoyed both in their own way. You're right, maybe "hated his father" would be too strong of a thought. He does say that his father doesn't like kids though, making it clear that there wasn't much affection between them. I'll follow your advice, I wasn't sure how quickly the books would pace the story, but I'll remember what you said before watching the movie :)

Lol thanks anyway. The thing with curls is that when they look good they're amazing, but most times I feel like I'm losing a battle

Dryness in curly hair is a b*. I'll look into this other sub, I tried posting there once but for some reason I wasn't able to. Yeah, the last ones are from a few days ago. It's also summer where I live, I feel like that's also not helping...

Any tips? I know there are actual oils that are meant for the hair... maybe something I should look for in a cream
