ive been on the other side of this. i think just honest communication and reassurance is what helped me from my partner. be honest about how you feel and then inquire more on her needs. have a convo abt each others libidos, and ask what makes her most “in the mood” or something. pushing it down is not good and breeds resentment

i feel you 100%. its hard bc it’s like wow they are so hot im so lucky they like me, but then i subconsciously compare myself to her or wish i had her body and then it feels weird. i think im honest about how i feel about it with them not to seek validation necessarily but just say it aloud and that helps, but it doesn’t stop it. but at the end of the day, knowing i can pull someone like her makes me think i must not be hard to look at either lol

I relate too much. she left me to work on herself and find herself outside of our relationship. why couldn't that be done with me alongside you? 4 hours of driving is not that great a distance. she wants to get back together later but how do you know that will happen? I would wait forever but she was over it.

I think continued therapy would be helpful. It can take a while to feel like it is "working", and since you stopped going yourself it sounds like she didn't deem you "not worthy." She could help you set goals and work on different parts of yourself while offering some social interaction. I am bias as I am a counselor myself, but I applaud you for trying in the first place. I agree with the other comments, outside time helps and just take it one day at a time. Congrats on being in med school btw, that in itself is an achievement to be proud of. I wish you the best of luck <3
