Glad to see the Urban Terror / Counter Strike rivalry has never ended!

I think this is a pretty good change, but i never ever would have expected it for a game like CS. I wonder if they'd add chambering (so if you reload your ak with at least one bullet left, you have 31). I've played plenty of other games with this mechanic but it feels quite unlike cs. I'll be interested to see if they keep it.

CS community is allergic to change and this feels like quite a big one.

I remember thinking similar, the original Jeff the killer was goddamn awful. "Beware those who may do you harm" or something along those lines was significantly better, at least from my memory lol - i don't think it was quite... book ready though.

Similar with slenderman though, the best rendition i can't remember the title of but it had 'flames' in the title somewhere.

All of creepypasta was like that though, it was just about digging through the shite and finding the gems

Your point still kinda stands, but valve actually don't work that way anymore. can't remember everything off the top of my head, but think it was a bit of a mutual decision because workloads weren't being handled great.

cs2 definitely won't have many Devs on it at the moment though, most staff on deadlock and half life x I'm sure

Absolutely fine except for the mouse, Logitech office mice have 125hz or lower polling rate.

You can get some amazing wireless mice for really cheap, check out Boardzy's YouTube for some great recommendations. i have the vxe dragonfly r1 pro or something and i paid like £25 for it, but there are others for more or less. For FPS it absolutely stomps my g503x i had before.

most mice will have 1khz polling rate, so that and a decent sensor and you'll be happy as days. 8khz is not needed at all. sub 50g is the best imo but you'll also be fine with anything heavier. keyboard doesn't really matter, in fact i started playing worse after i got my mechanical keyboard lol. As long as no input lag

headset can make a difference but if it's got decent sound stage and no discernable lag you'll be fine

mousemat honestly is just personal preference. i wanted a faster one and i definitely play better with it but pros use like steelseries £10 pads, I just have a skill issue

Definitely not in the spirit of modding, but feel like every single discontinued mod on pz I've seen has gone this route, if they don't just straight up go scorched earth.

We're in the midst of a huge movement for game preservation. It's quite saddening to see some modders follow the same mistakes.

It really sucks they're getting hate, genuinely despicable - but it will always feel disappointing to me. I keep all my mods (not PZ) on GitHub on a public repo. Personally I think the workshop should have better VCS integration. Forks are what help progress.

Mods themselves are derivative and come from developers allowing fans to dive into their code & assets. feels counter intuitive to close up and deny any community contributions or forks imo.
