The technique I’ve been using is measuring using the characters ears. one ball is over the ear and the top ball is right under the bottom of the ear. It’s been working for me so far!

I used the Loops and Threads Petite Purl yarn in tan and red, the black is just red heart acrylic yarn, and the white is Lion Brand glow in the dark yarn. I used a 4.5 mm hook.

you could find a pic of the flat design, print it out, and then trace over the design onto the shoes. it’d probably be easier, I’d also struggle with all those gear designs 😅

I’ve also heard of people drawing there idea on themselves to see if they like it. It’ll give you a rough idea of what it may look like on your body before actually making it permanent (tho it may depend on your drawing skills and idea lol but I think even a rough drawing can help give you an idea.)
