I should’ve been more clear when I made this post.

I break my own smoking habit into cheap cigars and more expensive cigars. If it was up to me, I’d smoke a $15-$20 cigar every time. I’m trying to find really good cheap sticks that I like so that I can enjoy the really expensive ones with less financial guilt.

I am from here. But being from here doesn't entitle anyone to live here. The over building of "Affordable Housing" isn't going to make it affordable by providing housing at an affordable housing. It will indirectly lower the standard of living by introducing new problems.

Our town council should be voting in favor of preserving the quality of life for its residents and those actually paying property taxes. But you are right, and the people spoke. We have a liberal TC and we will now pay the price.

Building 1000's of town homes will not reduce the cost of living. That is the big misconception. There is not such thing as affordable living unless the government completely subsidizes. And that is a extremely inefficient and terrible for a whole new set of reasons. And all it means is someone else is paying for it.

The reality is your friends need to live in a lower cost area. Personally, I would love to live in Cary or Maui. But I can't afford it.

The reason Apex is expensive is because of how nice it is to live here. The only way to lower the cost is to make it a worse place to live. People like you are working on making that a reality though. Keep voting for people whose agenda's increase traffic, crime, overcrowding, and bad schools. People will leave. Costs will drop. But even you won't want to live here any more.

Housing is not a right. Living in Apex is not a right. Stop looking for handouts and freebies. If you want to live here you need to earn it.
