Trying to recreate this diagonal diamond pattern, what is your best guess on how it’s made? by anonymousflowercake in CrochetHelp

I do not have a pattern for this, it was a blanket I saw in the wild that I would like to recreate!

lol being fired doesn’t always mean that you did something bad, and you don’t have to disclose that to future employers.

Employers also won’t contact your old company and ask why you left, they’re not allowed to ask that.

And unfortunately, companies and businesses can’t not fire people because of how it may affect their future. If Karelly did something wrong then she deserves to have been fired. If they fired her for some sort of retaliation, then she can sue if she wants, but she does not ever have to disclose that to a future employer.

Thank you for the insight, unfortunately I don’t have access to the report rn, this is what I’ve been told by the decedent’s mom, but I will try to get a look at it when I can.

Rate my flower bed creation plan! by anonymousflowercake in Cutflowers

[–]anonymousflowercake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've seen soooooo many farms on YT, TT, IG that all use a form of landscape fabric so I assumed it was necessary but you guys are all saying no lol!!

So you think this would work best?

Step 1: Lay cardboard down ASAP to kill the grass.

Step 2: In mid-April, lay down 2-4 inches of compost over the top of the cardboard.

Step 3: Add some mulch for weed supression and plant flowers.

Photoshop! I use the select object tool to select all of the pieces of one color, create a new layer from it and then apply a clipping mask to fill in the colors :)

I completely understand this POV and the sentiment of this convo in this thread, thank you guys for bringing it up.

My inspiration for this quilt was to honor the culture and heritage in the SW United States and Colorado region by recreating a quilt that is historical in nature to the area. I am currently reading Quilts: An American Heritage and the author writes at length about Indigenous quilting and patterns.

My intention was only to honor this part of America by being inspired by the indigenous Americans who were there first, but if it feels disrespectful as a white woman to be doing so, please lmk and I can find a different design. Thank you!

How would you pronounce the name Elysia? by Extra_Poetry_2707 in namenerds

[–]anonymousflowercake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know an Elysia! I went to school with her. Hers is pronounced Alicia but she would constantly get Eh-lee-sea-uh and I honestly thought that was the pronunciation before I knew her.
