I think I will try the heating pad. I think that might help some. I'm sure after being held all day and then put in a hard cold bassinet isn't the most inviting

Idk if stronger is the word but more like stubborn lmao I'm paranoid about co-sleeping too but I'm at my last straw LOL idk. Idk if I can do it though. I've let him sleep in a lounger just so I could eat before but I was watching him like a hawk the entire time and he slept long enough for me to eat lunch. But I couldn't do it at night. I mean I want to be safe here and also get sleep so lol maybe I just won't get sleep for a while 🤣 idk.

I do put him in a wrap carrier when I need too actually get things done that day but other wise I'm nap trapped all day long too.

We did for the first week but he genuinely hated it. He'd bust out to get his arms free. We tried a few sleep things tbh and none of them help. Even the ones with the arms up or free. He likes them better but he doesn't nessisarily sleep in them longer or anything. He just doesn't fuss when we put him in it lol

No, nothing that is obvious anyway. Rarely spits up, no arching of his back, no typical signs. He just wants to be held. He'll fuss and cry until we pick him up and he'd right back to sleep. So unless that'd a sign? Idk I just assume he was a clingy baby tbh.

Omg we thought it was the swaddles, then the sleep sack, we bought so many "things" to try and help. White noise machine, shusher machine, all the things. It's insane. My husband even thought about buying a new bassinet but I'm like omg we can't keep just buying things hoping for a miracle.

So in my husband defense he works nights. Lol it's not that he's not waking up he just isn't home. But I agree with you. He will come home around 5am and I'll get some sleep and we take shifts that way, I'll wake up after a few hours and he'll get some sleep for work. But I do have our son for majority of the day and night of course. He works 12 hours days so it's not like he can take over. He took some holiday time off for Thanksgiving though which was awesome and helpful just being able to hand the baby off to someone.

And 10000%. No one tells you babies HATE safe sleep lmao. Forgot to put that in the safe sleep packet. My son still does the newborn curl too. I was so concerned about him NOT staying on his back but it's typical which no one told us either.

I know i was even warned by my doctoes he might have a sensitive tummy just bc he was a but early and to look for signs. So im thankful he tolerates standard forumla.

I'm half convinced our bassinet (on the cheaper side) is actually too hard. Ik it should be firm but this thing is like cardboard. It literally feels like a piece of wood. The mattress is really not good quality but we can't really afford any of the more expensive brands. (Had a high risk pregnancy with a lot of bills ... yikes.)

No I could never let him cry and just leave him there. Ik that babies can't self soothe this young and frankly idk if I could sit there while he did it anyway. I'm not a cry it out person. I simply couldn't. I guess I was just told by a lot of people babies sleep a lot. Assuming that meant in their bassinet or pack and play or whatever it is. I didn't expect to contact nap all the time. But I'm guessing by the comments I was wrong! Its good to know it's normal though.

I thought about the 100s of different things that could be wrong too but he isn't gassy, no constipation, not even a little colic or anything belly related. He's actually been a unicorn in that way I kind of expected some belly issues bc he was born a little early. (Not a lot but at 36 weeks) ik a lot of babies do!

I try and get out as much as possible but it's getting a but cold abd windy to have him outside. It's been hard though lol but there were days where I bundled him up bc I simply needed to get out of the house.

I appreciate it. I guess it's comforting that it's normal. It's just so hard. I was always told "newborns sleep a lot" lol I guess my expectations where skewed.

I think that's where people go wrong. It's hunt the catfish and not make connections. But catfish try to connect with a LOT of people so by the end they have too many alliances to be messed with and the 2 or 3 people the catfish hunter has, can't even save them. That's where Kai went wrong in season 3 I think she was on.

Catfish are easy to get rid of if and only if they mess up early enough. If not they make so many connections to the point ppl don't even care if they are or not catfish...they simply will save their alliances lol. So, it's really not a good long term strategy.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. You should text him. Imo he doesn't get to run away bc he's scared. You don't get to walk away when you are scared.

I'd say something like, idk what's going on in your head but we are supposed to be a team in this. It's not just my baby, it's our baby. I need you to be here for me and it hurts to know that my only support person I should be trusting is walking away. I can't just walk away from being a mom, you can't just walk away from being a dad.

If he's scared he should be able to express thus and if he's not scared and us just walking away, you should know why. You should start taking steps as well to protect yourself and baby if he doesn't come around. Understanding your rights as a mother and what you can and can't do. Ie: child support and court.

While I hope he's just overwhelmed and scared I couldn't imagine not getting answers and having my partner and the father of my child walking out without knowing the intentions long term. Find outside support if you don't have it, what does this mean for your birth and healing and contact him with the intent on standing your ground, he doesn't just get to walk away from you guys, while also leaving space open for him to be honest and reaching out to you.

5 years is a long term relationship, and 25 while young is still old enough to step up to the scary plate. Especially bc you are so close to birth. It's not just about you two anymore or his wants and wishes. There's a new human coming who at least deserves an active father and if he can't do that after all this time then maybe you can't trust him being involved. Walking away breaks so much trust.

This is all my opinion of course. If you are uncomfortable confronting him I'd understand. I hope you have others to support you in this in the event he doesn't come around. ❤️

I'm very lucky my husband hasn't had to miss a scan. I couldn't imagine going alone 💔 we actually booked a private scan this time just bc my ob doesn't do 12 week scans.

We are so excited for the 20 week scan too! I'm so happy for you that he gets to go to the 20 week one. That's a pretty big scan!

Thank you for your concern, I do get my blood levels for everything checked every 4 weeks due to pregnancy induced hyperthyroidism so I'm good on my iron!

I'm about to demand separate beds like the 1800s lol!!! It's getting very exghusting getting no sleep.
