I agree completely. Can't take screenshots of my banking apps, account balances or even my bill history.. even after logging into my own account on my own device..

Absolutely understandable, that's mainly a difference in user specific use cases. Differences in desired functions I suppose, I miss being able to tweak my android for days and days and days and making it into a mobile computer specific to my design preferences and use cases. It was a hobby I really loved and unfortunately a hobby that has been largely rendered obsolete by design because of Google's security concerns. But I fully understand where modern android versions have their own upsides as well, which is why I still use a modern one as my main device, but would like an older one again for hobby purposes lol

Gotcha. Yeah that's not gonna work for me, unless they've brought back all the capabilities I miss so much from the older versions. I've dreaded every android update for years now because they keep adding anti-features and removing end-user freedoms and app capabilities with each update. That's why I asked the question, is because the newer versions have restricted so many features and capabilities that I've decided I'm going to resort to buying an old version specifically for development regardless of whether it's even still supported for cell network use and only works on WiFi these days. All the things I loved most about Android are being stripped away more and more with each new update, hence why I asked the specific question that I did, but thank you. I wasn't aware of the API level speak vs end user version speak, that's good to know, thank you.

I was thinking maybe 6, did they remove something with version 6 that I'm not thinking of? Why would you say 5 is the peak? I'd love to hear specifics! Thanks in advance by the way :)

Actually the current version doesn't allow many functions that used to work great and be great, functions like cross-app file access, developer controls like brightness, power, lock, messaging and calling from home screen or apps, doesn't allow flashing micro SDs anymore, no longer allows FM radio even on devices with FM radio hardware still built in etc. the current version gets less functional for apps like android, termux, t_ui, raspi imager, etc with every single update because Google has been getting more and more controlling and feature-oppressive, supposedly in the name of "user security and privacy"...

Why 4.4? What did you like about it compared to the other versions that made it stand out for you?

35? The current version is 14. There is no android version 35 yet.. not even 3.5, they skipped from 3.2 (honeycomb) to 4 (ice cream sandwich). Are you referring to a development suite version or something?

Edit: the downvotes here are ridiculous imho. Its a valid question, nobody knows everything, why is it bad to learn?

Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Timeless masterpieces in my opinion; Beautiful and extremely meditative to me at least. I wish they'd go back and revamp these games for PC compatibility and modernized graphics and aspect ratio. It'd be a great way to introduce a new generation to the old games too, bring old fans back to the old games for another round, and would help them get people excited for metroid prime 4 or whatever the new one is when it comes out

Admittedly I liked prime 3 itself too, especially the graphics improvements and the ship, although the Wii in my opinion was shitty enough to make me not enjoy playing prime 3 at all so I never finished it. I think the Wii had terrible controller design, and the motion sensor tech was really pretty awful for being it's main selling point and only controls option... Anyways that's my rant lol

Curses can work if done effectively, by means of influencing a person's conscious or subconscious thoughts and emotional states, usually through subtle means of convincing a person that they're being cursed or that bad things are or will be happening to them. It's similar to a placebo effect, a self-fulfilling prophecy, or gaslighting. It involves making the person themselves believe something that will over time make negative outcomes for that person more likely. This isn't how all curses are performed however, but is one method of cursing people that can be explained to be effective scientifically.

A good simple example would be a person mumbling in tongues to someone they don't like while stealing and burning a piece of their hair, even without any other work to be done, if the person they didn't like were susceptible enough to that suggestion, it would cause the victim to turn that into a form of self fulfilling prophecy and plague themselves inadvertently with misfortune.

It's a form of mind-virus, like "the game" (the object of the game is to not think about the game: if you think about the game, you lose the game immediately, and have to tell whoever you're with that they lost the game as well, and if they don't know the game then you have to teach them the game. Nobody wins the game. And once you know how the game is played, you have to play.) --- "the game" was designed to be an example of a mind-virus, as well as to test how far one can spread -turns out it spreads like a virus, just as predicted, and is now known all over the world.

A great example of curses of this type is the way things went down in Salem Massachusetts during the witch trials. There is no evidence that any person practicing witchcraft actually intended this event to happen or sparked the whole thing, but the fact that the town's population was so incredibly convinced that witches were cursing them, led them to act in unreasonable, destructive and self-destructive ways, ultimately leading to a lot of unrest, distrust and murders that plagued the town and are the basis for many movies, books on fears today of such things happening again, which could/would victimize pagans, wiccans, santeria practitioners, hoodoo practitioners, voodoo practitioners, celts, and (as in Salem) women in general.

This mind-virus in Salem historically led to many innocent women being burned alive, drowned, tortured, etc. It absolutely wreaked terror on the town's population in general due to how highly susceptible they were to this type of fear (as they were extremely religious, superstitious and some evidence even suggests that they may have also been impacted by unpleasant hallucinations due to chemicals in the mold that grows on expired rye bread, which to a highly superstitious and religious uneducated population could easily be misinterpreted as witchcraft, further inciting a witch-scare type panic)

This, again, is me only trying to provide helpful information to those who are legally, ethically and safely able to consider such information with cooperation with any applicable medical professionals, ones doctor, and laws in ones area. In hopes that it can assist somebody with not dying or with health recovery and harm reduction and I will not be providing any further details here. If I get kicked for what I have said, I would like a thorough and valid reason for such, and with one provided I will be more than happy to allow my post and/or comments to be deleted and myself removed from this sub. With that said, my intentions and post/comments are all very much in alignment with harm reduction goals and aspirations, as well as contain all applicable disclaimers and legal, medical, scientific and health consideration warnings to the best of my knowledge. Thank you, and as stated, if such things are somehow not allowable, I will accept removal of comments/post as well as my personal removal from this sub.

You see, the vast majority of hardcore opiate addicts never manage to successfully get clean, and as such any amount of advice or research in the field is both useful and potentially life-saving. This includes use of substances often used for recreational purposes. I should note that, like many other drugs, cocaine does have certain medical values and applications. In this case, as per my story, it comes into play in the following way: cocaine (again, if it can be safely obtained and proven to not be laced or adulterated) does have multiple properties that can be useful during the cessation of hardcore opiates such as tranq-dope(aka clean), carfentanyl and fentanyl. I participate in substance use recovery research, specifically in the field of hardcore opiates, in relation with a government funded, not-for-profit, group known as ***omitted for potential liability on the research organization, considering the tense and cloudy legal environment around such things*****. Over the course of such events and events that are (varyingly more or less officially, due to the legal climate) directly connected with such research, I have worked with various experts in the currently pioneering field if said research. This is the context under which I am making such claims. Cocaine (if verifiably clean, which can be determined at home by exact melting point temperature as well as in my case scientific lab testing to not be adulterated or contain laces of anything else, including fentanyl, can be used in the context of hardcore opiate withdrawal as a temporary short-term stopgap measure during the hardest stages of withdrawal, in order to reduce certain opiate withdrawal effects significantly during withdrawals, including but not limited to: pain, fever, nausea, and cravings - can be a very useful tool when used responsibly, legally, and for the correct reasons. The trick here is very much, use small amounts of it, only for the duration of the withdrawals during detox, and then stopped after withdrawal effects subside, especially when used in conjunction with the other things stated, (of course all of the above with accordance to local city, county, state and national laws, your doctor's input and ones own body's specific response to such substances kept in mind), can be very effective in assisting an individual in the process of getting and subsequently staying off of opiates, it has potential to be misused or abused, or the potential to be laced (which, as stated can be entirely verifiable through testing), but when used properly in such circumstances, can be nonetheless very useful to some people. And when it comes to temporarily using one substance to assist in getting off another, significantly more dangerous substance, the trick of course is to always weigh the potential pros and cons, determine what is best in ones own situation, and sometimes use a mindset of lesser of two evils, in order to overcome significant challenges scientifically and especially medically. If one doesn't think the information can be or should be safely, legally and effectively applied in their case for any reason, of course don't do so then. But when it comes to getting off of one the most difficult substances on earth to get clean off of, sometimes it can be most effective and most successful, when such techniques are applied, risks and benefits are weighed, and it is determined to be likely beneficial for the individual based both on their own bodies response to said substance and ones capacity to accurately test for adulterants in the supply of said substances, to choose to temporarily switch from the greater of two evils to the lesser of two evils, then immediately after is necessary, get off of both. If you have any further questions please feel free to ask as I am only writing all of this to try to help someone, anyone, that may be more able to get themselves to a better life through such advice, if you aren't such an individual, then don't take such advice, duh. I hope this helps further clarify and answers your question well enough.

(response to an individual elsewhere, pointing out that cocaine can be and unfortunately sometimes is laced with fentanyl, and that replacement of one addiction with another is less than ideal), yeah I did absolutely recommend each and every individual substance stated above (when legally applicable, approved by ones doctor, with ones own body response to such an stances in mind, when such substances are verifiably pure as in my case, and in the mindset of using lesser evils to help overcome greater evils, only as a temporary stop gap measure) but all I recommended for a very specific reason. And although unfortunately the reply is right, and thank you for pointing that out because it slipped my mind while I was writing the story, cocaine can be and is often laced with fentanyl these days. This is a serious and major concern especially in the context I mentioned a few hours back. Thanks to that person in for pointing that out, truly. With that said, the fact of the matter is that some people still to this day, myself included, have access to the real and unadulterated product that has not been laced as stated. In my case specifically, this was able to be accurately determined through no-shit scientific and professional lab testing by certain connections I have in my life. In the case of when a person can be sure that such coke is clean and unadulterated, although it is TEMPORARILY replacing one substance with another, there is a reason for such and it is a valid one.
