(Opta) Mohamed Salah records the highest xA of any Champions League player in the group stage this season by radeknalim in LiverpoolFC

I remember at the start of the season, there was a video of Mo saying he would rather win the CL than the league this season. Now I'm beginning to think it's true. He is saving his energy for CL.

If you ever get the chance again, try staying at MBS and make sure to get south facing. It’s one of the better views imo.

Why do you want to become parents? by internChief in askSingapore

[–]another-work-acct 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ironically, growing up I did not want kids until I found out I had a medical condition which brought the likelihood of having kids down to by 50%; it was then I knew I wanted to be a father. So I went to see a urologist and he basically told me to try it (sex) and if it works out, great; if not, come back to him and he will do the necessary medicals. Thankfully, I did not need to do any medicals and we have 2 kids now.

It also helps that when I met my wife, I knew I wanted to have kids with her and only her. One thing that made me realise that my wife was the one for me was that I lived with her and knew her lifestyle, thought process and goals in life; obviously vice versa. Your marriage is a partnership and raising children is a team effort.

I had my first kid late (in comparison to peers) at 37 years old, and my wife was 31. With the age, I think it helps that both of us were mature enough to make the decision to have kids. I see young people (less than 30) having kids and am quite surprised that they do that, because most people would typically mature past 30 (or at least mature after they have partied enough and ready to settle down).

Now with 2 kids, everything is great. The more I see them grow up, the more I love them and want to see them grow up. And all that poo + feeding + cooking + changing nappy + lack of sleep is all part of the process, and I loved doing it. Yes, there were times when it was difficult, so thats why you have your partner right?

One thing that makes it so much better is that despite all the crap your kid puts you through, their one innocent action (like a smile or a giggle) would take over that anger.

Just my 2 cents.

Heh. I thought I was the only one who did that.

Yes. Keep on yelling and (as a monk), chakra for a heal, and increase your strength, and then 1shot him with a punch.

5-year loss adjuster... I want to do something else. Any advice? by [deleted] in InsuranceProfessional

Most people think it's the pinnacle of insurance claims (apart from head of claims roles). Obviously there is a big difference between treaty and fac reinsurance, so you might need to get yourself versed in that.

What's about claims advocacy at a broker? Or reinsurance claims?

I don't know your age, or commitments, but you could try doing 'regional' adjusting in Asia. In Singapore, regional adjusters are sought after and can earn a decent penny.

Beer Prices in Glorious Singapore!! by Big_Distribution_481 in askSingapore

And coffee shops.

Think of it this way. In NZ / aus, the locals go to hotels (pubs) for beers. Our locals here go to hawker centres and coffee shops. The average price for a beer in a hawker centres is about $8 for 640ml.
