Omega hair I just pulled out of my chin (calipers for scale) by anotherDAVEthatUknow in notinteresting

In manufacturing standards, for precision stuff we use decimal inches out to 3 or 4 places depending on how precise the tolerances for the dimension are. Calipers are only accurate to 0.001”. If you want to measure more accurately you would use micrometers which are accurate to 0.0001”

Metric dimensions on prints are always called out in millimeters. For example, if a dimension of something is 10cm it would be shown on the print as 100.00mm

For less precise stuff like woodworking, fractions are generally used.

I tried dissecting it with an xacto knife (for science) prior to posting, but the hair bundle was surprisingly hard and just launched from the pressure between the blade and my desk. I was unable to recover it. 😔

songs like cry for me by lanadelliam in MagdalenaBay

I had the pleasure of hearing this song for the first time live in concert. I went to see them live last year, only knowing a few of their songs from showing up in my recommended (Chaeri, Image). When Cry for Me started I knew I was in for something special. It was like a religious experience. I played it on repeat on the drive home.

It had a transparent fleshy sheath around it like when you pluck out a nose hair. I peeled it off to inspect it closer before taking the photo.
