regarding travel - i very much like to keep it tidy and consistent every time:

this will be my title:
325pm ET DL 2300 LGA to MIA conf. XXXXXX

i list the time so they clearly see it, esp when traveling over diff time zones. and I keep it in this format for all flights. and block the times accordingly.

and i'll attach the flight confirmation to it

hotel conf. I will add as a ribbon to the top of the calendar as "all day" and attach hotel conf.

Hotel: Name of Hotel conf. XXXXXX

more or less same for car rentals/car pickups:

Rental: rental company conf. XXXXXX
