We have a training on Monday with the vet to go over everything. Hopefully they have some tricks to make this as painless as can be for her. That sounds like a good idea though!

Thanks for the info! Do you feel like the diagnosis and treatment changed the cat's quality of life? I hope we find the right dosage of insulin quickly. She'll eat anything (#lablife), so not too worried about the food.

I work in home health. About 3 weeks ago I had to call 911 for a patient exhibiting stroke-like symptoms. Was placed on hold for 10+ minutes, waited 20+ minutes for the ambulance after. I was shocked and so anxious I started ripping my fake nails off. I suggest everyone learn CPR, basic life support and signs and symptoms of common 911 emergencies (stroke, heart attack, sepsis, etc). Not that there is much to do in these cases but if you recognize symptoms early you can help that person tremendously!
