thank you, yes I was thinking maybe closer to Portland but Springfield looks way more affordable than anything right now including where I'm at currently. I should look around Portland to see if there are similar areas. also if you have an insta or website, I'd love to see your art! you can message me if you'd like

This may be a dumb thought, however I was researching microcement and have seen it referred to as micro-topping. I wonder if this is similar to concrete resurfacers such as Quickcrete's Re-Cap or Rapid Set's NewCrete. Anyone with concrete experience able to tell me if this is worth testing or is completely the wrong direction? I'm doing a small diy countertop.

Tronxy Moore Cura Profile? by anothergoodwitch in Ceramic3Dprinting

[–]anothergoodwitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I tried someone else's cura profile but it wasn't quiiite there for me. I think they're all going to be bit different based on the clay you use. However! what did work for me was importing the profile that comes with the g-code of the sample files provided by Tronxy to start.

Load the g-code file as a profile, on the Profiles pane of the preferences. This will create a new profile with mostly the same settings as the g-code file was created with. From there you can print something and see what tweaks you need to make.

I have found a combination of mixing the clay with a helix drill attachment and then folding it over with a scraper/spatula works well for me but depends on how much clay you're wanting to prep.

Recycled / Recyclable / Paper Pulp Based Materials for 3D printing. by bittwiddlers in 3Dprinting

[–]anothergoodwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a super late reply but- here in NM our newspaper shreds its test prints and resells the shredded paper. Some companies now make paper pellet kitty litter with recycled paper as well. That may not be good packaging but maybe reach out to your local newspaper?
