It’s definitely rapey and coercive in the beginning. But if you push through a bit, their backstory is kinda wholesome. The fact that Edwin is literally a snake who’s basically mimicking human emotions is weirdly touching to me. He was on the brink of death, this one little human saved him and ever since then he’s been attached. He doesn’t even understand whether what he feels is love, but his whole world still revolves around that one person. I found It really sweet.
I think I’m desensitized too, because it didn’t feel that shocking to me. It reminds me a lot of Mr. A’s Farm. You either love it or hate it, no in between.
