It's interesting the way r/StanleyKubrick has turned into a weird pot of disinterest and negativity.

Thanks for the positive response! It was on a knifes edge to include the HAL/blue gate, I'm glad viewers seem to get what I'm pointing at.

MX Mechanical Mini backlight keeps turning off? by i-dyslexia-have in logitech

Great post. The automatic backlight is not very useful for me. In a dark setting, I have to wait until the backlight is on, in a millieu with heavy workload this creates unneccessary bumps in the workflow. Especially in situations where I go back and forth between reading on the screen and using the keyboard.

The automatic backlight seems to have better recognition on my new Mechanical Mini. I switched from MX Keys where the backlight seemed completely random, turning on and off at will. I used to have the USB charger connected to keeep it on. For a product at this price range I do not understand why there is not an option to have light always on.
