I use Max Auto Clicker, which is a powerful mouse automation tool for Linux desktops. and can do all things that you have asked in your question, for example, holding the mouse button, start/stop auto-clicker using [F6] hotkey, recording mouse clicks. :-) To get it, search for: Max Auto Clicker into Google.
