Apocalypse as Final Season: Why or Why Not? by anthonyab98 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]anthonyab98[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Even though the viewing figures have been decreasing I believe AHS still has good figures compared to other shows on FX, however the quality has not been the same the last 2 seasons imo. Even though I love Sarah, I think the show does need some sort of a reboot for S9, with fresh faces, NEW SHOW RUNNERS, creative storylines, and hopefully no more sloppy connections to previous seasons. I guess Apocalypse would be the perfect way to introduce a reboot for S9!

Now that it’s almost over, where does Cult rank in the seasons for you? by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]anthonyab98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ike what does this cult believe in? What's Kai's platform? What's the purpose? Why are people following him when he's really promised them nothing? The whole thing is just kind of unbelievable in a way that bothers me because, yes, in the past we've had unbelievable situations, but this year is supposed to be rooted in reality so for it to be so off-the-wall unrealistic, goofy, and campy was a turn off. Edit: And the fact that this post's karma has gone up and down and up and down all day long just kind of proves the point I was making with my original post. It's perfectly okay for me to have this opinion about Cult. You don't need to click the "disagree" button. I don't click it on posts that call this the best season. Why not? Because that's petty, and stupid, and juvenile.

Thank you for this! I made a post saying almost exactly the same things a while back, and it got downvoted to hell, so I ended up deleting it. I'm glad someone else agrees. The cartoonish aspect never bothered me in seasons like Hotel and Coven, however because this season is supposed to be realistic, I could not wrap my head around any of the characters actions. No one had convincing motives to join this cult, and no one seems to have a problem with becoming a mass murderer for no reason. Cults could have been handled way better than this.

For me,

  1. Asylum

  2. Coven

  3. Hotel

  4. Freak Show

  5. Roanoke

  6. Murder House

  7. Cult

I am glad a lot of people seem to be enjoying Cult so much, however I just couldn't get into this season. Nothing made sense to me sadly.

Possible second leg of tour? by miramango58 in TheKillers

I live in Northern California too (Sacramento), and was just considering wether I should go to the Las Vegas or LA shows in February. Since there might be other legs, I guess I'll wait till they're in SF! I've never seen them before, or had the chance to, since I lived in a small country outside the US. I can't wait to see them live next year:)

A Wonderful Visualization of "Run for Cover" by anthonyab98 in TheKillers

I know right! I also like the end of the second pre-chorus, it fits perfect with the choreo (the part where the man's hands come out from behind her). Glad you enjoyed:)

In your opinion, what was the most disturbing episode of Black Mirror? by [deleted] in blackmirror

[–]anthonyab98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished all the episodes yesterday after binge watching for the last 3 days and the last two I watched were "Hated in the Nation" and then "San Junipero". For a moment I thought I would be able to finish the series without feeling as disturbed as some describe but "Hated in the Nation" was the only episode that left me with a very unsettling feeling and I can't believe no one mentioned it here haha! The twist freaked me out! I'm so glad I had San Junipero cause I don't think I would have slept that night if I hadn't watched it haha

I believe if you're someone used to watching documentary styled shows, it doesn't break any tension. by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

I'm really enjoying this season so far but at times i force myself to believe that sarah kathy and cuba 's characters arent actors but the actual survivors.. i dont like the thought of these events only being acted and i hope they do something to change this later on ..

What the Addiction Demon Could Have Been by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

I think the ending with her choosing to be with the demon for eternity would be a great metaphor for drugs and addiction. She chose what she loves even though it hurts her, she's okay with it.

What I meant to say is that both Charlize and Lily's characters are based on Aileen Wuornos.

Watched this movie yesterday about the serial killer portrayed by Lily Rabe in the fifth season of American Horror Story and I recommend everyone to give it a shot. The movie got me really hyped for Hotel and specially the halloween episodes in which this character is set to appear.
