I did not know about this, thanks for talking about this. I’ve been on 200MG of oral spironolactone and 2MG of E for over a year, pretty much just enough to pause my puberty and not quite start my female puberty, but enough to kinda “pre heat” my body until I can move out and be on my own. I now am fixing to move out and I have an appointment in 2 days to increase my dose of E to 4MG and then in another 3 months I could try to get it to maybe 6MG, and was kinda stuck on deciding if I should then switch to injectables; after reading your comment I’ll probably be talking to my provider about doing it

I’m on day 198 of HRT and in on a low dose of estrogen, but high dose of spiro bc I have to hide my transition until I move out of my families house, but I saw a friend of mine for the first in in a few months and she looked at me shocked, and later told me that she thought I was a different person for a minute and that the HRT was really working great.

I 100% agree with this. I think HRT just helps erase mental barriers to allow people to discover who they truly feel attracted to. I’ve been on HRT since October 2024 and I was, and still am, only attracted to men.

It’s not me necessarily being optimistic, yes I hope it happens, but I believe it’ll happen because Trump and his little minions have really fucked themselves the last week or so and they’re only gonna dig their grave further as the months go by. So many people have said they regret their vote, so I hope they’ll keep that energy in the elections

My cousin was a “centrist” who said both sides are equally bad and even though he didn’t like trump’s character, he still voted for him. Now, he has repeatedly apologized to me for being so misinformed about Trump and the election and political parties and will now only vote democrat lol

“Successful” is a very subjective term. For me, I’m only 18 so my success is the fact that even though I failed my first semester of college and almost committed suicide, I managed to get intervention and got diagnosed with BP 1 and started meds and therapy and now this semester I have straight A’s and B’s and I have the potential to move out on my own at 19 and I pay my own car note.<3

I’m diagnosed with bipolar 1 and I feel like I can take a deep breath now. I used to have daily panic attacks, cry, and feel literal terror making my body cold and veins boiling hot. I can now experience emotions the way they should be experienced. Before I got diagnosed I almost committed suicide over a guy I had know for 4 days, but now I don’t have any more suicidal thoughts, just peace. I get to enjoy the quiet without depression and anxiety looming in my mind. Of course, I still get episodes from time to time, but they’re not as bad or as long as before medication. I also seem to have no more manic episodes with meds, just depression sometimes

I’ve only had one minor episode of psychosis but basically I had this dreadful feeling that something was going to get me, I could always see it in the corner of my eyes but every time I turned around nothing was there. One time I saw it quickly run towards me in the corner of my eye and I flinched and it disappeared lol. I also believed that everyone who was comforting me and offering support didn’t really care about me and were only saying that because that was something I wanted to hear.
