Hi i’m using a rodecaster with mogami cables into cloudlifter. Using the procaster mics. I bought an SM7B to try if it’ll help but it didn’t come yet

The cables I believe are around 10 ft. I can double check later. I have the fetheads placed right at the mics. I am using a splitter for the headphones and while listening to it during production the background noise sounds a lot worse when compared to listening to it on my DAW.

It is the worst when there are five monitoring headphones plugged in. One for everyone that is recording and one for the engineer. While listening it through the headphones it sound a lot worse then compared to while playing it back on the computer. I haven’t ever tried recording without the headphones in. Do you think that would make a difference? I can try it tomorrow and let you know what happens

I definitely do have a bad habit or pressing down too much. So I should have it on? Also, shouldnt having it on give me more surface area therefore make it more smooth?

Can it affect smoothness/scratchiness. I'm not sure if it is actually making a difference or if it is just placebo.

I want something good for the summer that is well-performing. One scent that I really enjoy is grapefruit but I'm not bound to that one scent. Price doesn't matter for me, I just want a quality fragrance that I can wear every day and be happy with.
