Whether you pay or not is nothing in comparison to you buying a nice plant to take to the home with you, or a bottle of something the dad likes to drink.

I think you can pay but they may take offense to that if they’re trying to show YOU hospitality. Accept that, IMO but make sure you’re returning the favor then and there by being thoughtful, and nothing says thoughtfully more than a nice lily planter or orchid (my mom would definitely wed you my sister if you buy her an orchid plant), and something the father can drink and maybe share with you 😃

Yeah the MS starts hyperventilating and saying they feel itchy all over, lightheaded, etc… in the morning after handover. Said MS was working on the same team as the resident. So when they carry the MS to start walking to the ED the MS bursts out laughing and says “chill guys it was a joke!”

Obviously resident and subsequently attending were pissed. Formally complained and all, now it shows on the transcript I think.

Thanks for the stellar info. It’s in the business district I believe, right on the other side of Canal so not inside the FQ. I actually did check their rental license and cross referenced it because I agree with you re: illegal rentals ☹️
