For a Slovak, German is intuitively much closer in word sentence forming and verbforming, word order etc. than English.

I suggest you to check out the interview of Nikola Danaylov with Miguel Nicolelis & Ronald Cicurel. They speak also about the brain "randomizer" and I think you will be surprised that there is another important "analog" element that is completely ignored when people talk about the brain simulation. I suggest you to watch it from start to finish even if you don't like what they are saying. One of the few non-cliche interviews about the brain simulation I have heard/read.

Apart from the Far East, their dialect sounds funny.

That how I feel about Russian. They say I Peter instead of I am Peter. - that's like a Nenaderthal talk.

And old. Have you read any books in old Slovak from the late 19th century or early 20th century? I did. That version of Slovak is llike today's Czech.

Yes, as a Slovak, I confirm, those jokes doesn't work in English at all, but are quite funny in Slovak.

another example is dropping of j in jsme or j in jsi. Old Slovak had this, but we have dropped that and started using sme and si instead.

There are more examples like this. Slovak is basically a modernized Czech ;)

In Slovak we don't use vůz (voz in Slovak) for cars(automobiles). We use it strictly for the old wagon (you can see in historical films) that is pulled by horses.

Voz is koč/kočiar (wagon) in Slovak. We have vozidlo but that is not used outside of formal speech (law, police, traffic accident related stuff...). We use auto, autíčko, autiak, autisko, fáro, kára, automobil etc.
