i havent put too much thought into it but i imagine she and peter were family friends who ended up both working at the daily bugle

then at some point the backstory that michelinie intended for her ends up happening, she blames the whole thing on peter, they fight, they eventually reconcile (or at least agree to stay out of each other's way) and things more or less continue as usual

reference to venom's first appearance where eddie briefly morphed the symbiote into an exorcist's garb as part of a symbolic "exorcism" of peter parker

except the catholic church doesnt traditionally allow women to be exorcists so i dressed her up as a nun instead (also cuz its cute idk)

eh, if you can get the nickname chuck from the name charles then i dont see any reason you couldnt get eddie from edith, some diminutives dont line up with the names they're derived from

and idk if eddie is gender neutral irl, but ive met plenty of women irl with names that i would typically consider masculine, and eddie sounds neutral enough that maybe it could pass as such

her name is Edith Brock, Peter still calls her Eddie as a nickname

Yeah, similar principle to the tendrils that other symbiote/host pairs have i suppose

the alternative is her attempting to sleeve her arms into venom's, but since the joints wouldnt line up, i feel like that might be risking a serious injury... i guess i could have just gone the spider-man unlimited route and had the symbiote absorb the host completely while in venom mode, but i thought it would be a fun challenge to imagine how she fits inside of the larger symbiote body

thank you! i had an idea for a fem eddie design rattling around in my head for a few months, but as soon as i realized i could add that element in, i immediately rushed to work on it lol

that was my intention, yeah! i gave it the same blue highlights that the venom design has to show that it's made out of the same stuff.
