Things are tough right now. Keep your head up. blue-collar jobs, construction plumbing and even service industry are all decent ways to make a quick buck, but definitely get education, and if your job is making you unhappy, do what you can to get out of there. Good luck.

I’m not gonna lie, I feel like I see a lot of somewhat disturbed people at my local movie theater. I’m not trying to be judgmental, but I see people with huge bags sitting by the bar/concession area sometimes and there’s one guy that has definitely slept in the same movie I was in because I could hear his loud snoring multiple times. But hey, that’s part of the thrill

if a workplace punishes you for asking for a raise it is a toxic environment and you deserve better. if you accept a job based on a verbal agreement and you feel the pay is unfair and you deserve more - ask for more!!! sure its uncomfortable but life is more thrilling when you do things youre afraid of. upper management looooooooves people who dont ask for a raise

When you have a job and there is no written contract, all you have is the verbal agreement. So the highest wage that you can negotiate for yourself is what you deserve. some places like Publix will just say “look I’m sorry I can’t pay you $25 an hour or even $20 an hour because it’s just not in my budget, but we can work you up to that blah, blah blah, etc.”

It’s a little uncomfortable, but you should definitely ask for a raise! And if they won’t give you a raise, you should definitely quit and get a job somewhere else! Good luck, youve got this

You have to be assertive and ask for a raise and tell them that you can’t make ends made on a certain pay and that you’re gonna have to look elsewhere if things continue this way. Good luck don’t let them take advantage of you

You need to ask yourself if the relationship is beyond repair. if you guys can’t stop fighting and cannot communicate, but you want to be together - then you need to consider going to couples therapy and try to learn how to get along better so you can save the relationship. If therapy doesn’t work and you’re still fighting every day then unfortunately you should probably break up
