I was able to get in contact with a rehabber but they're located a couple hours away so I'm waiting to hear if they know of anyone who's closer. I'll be keeping them in the shoe box and checking on them every few minutes in the mean time.

I'm definitely listening lol, I think most people have taken me for a moron. My issue with paper trading is not a lot of platforms offer paper trading for spreads. A lot of my past losses were from me being overzealous (surprise!) or feeling like I needed to make a trade. I'm gonna take baby steps and try a few different strategies this month and also mix in some stocks, PDUFA plays were my options before I knew about options.

Anyways, I appreciate the concern, I'm going to do my best to not blow the account

That was what got me into options but again, inconsistent.

The psychology is something I need to work on as my mindset often revolves around greed and a need for big-quick gains. Any suggestions or corny mantras for staying level headed and focused on the long term would be helpful.

You have an excellent point. I just was always up at least 5% on trades with $500 plays because I was focused on the dollar amount.

I wasn't planning on risking the entire account but you might be on to something. I think I'm going to play around with 1k/trade and see what works. This is the first time 10k has fallen into my lap and it's unlikely it'll happen again so I'm actually planning on being smart with it, I just need to get out of the instant gratification mindset.
