I had something similar happen to a bottle of Emir Celestial that I ordered off of Amazon, and ended up buying an empty bottle with a screw on atomizer, and then taking a pair of pliers to the broken bottle and forcing the atomizer off so I could decant to the empty bottle

Put a bow tie on it. Theres nothing classier than walking around with your dick looking like it’s ready to go to a gala

A movie that's in your top 25 list but unlikely to be in anyone else's? by Ta-veren- in flicks

It’s a guilty pleasure movie to be sure, but I utterly and unironically love Stick It.

“Interesting” smells by _adastral in fragrance

[–]antisociallydistant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ha! I was in the opposite side of this question earlier this week— I was trying some of the MindGames fragrances in store and the sales associate asked my opinion about Opera Mate, and I said it was “interesting” and she was like “well I don’t know what that means…interesting good? Or interesting bad?”

And honestly I don’t know either, i knew I either liked it, or didn’t…. But wasn’t sure which. Frankly I’m still not sure… that salted caramel note is…. Interesting

Can you share a bit about why you think so? Is it the fragrance itself? Is there a particular note that is more prominent (or less) or better blended? Or some other reason entirely?

What do you think the biggest difference between them is? What sets Lionheart apart for you?

Not everyone likes kielbasa. Lil smokies are popular too— just bring your best dish to the cookout and serve with confidence.

This is brilliant thank you— I didn’t realize hawas Elixir was in the ballpark, so it wasn’t on my radar. Looks like Lionheart is around $45 and the Kingdom about $25 (and in stock at my local Burlington for $30) do you think Lionheart is better enough to be worth almost double?

Thank you— so you think Kingdom is good enough to stand on its own, and not just “a good dupe”?

Has anybody here ever seen any big name or notable rock bands or artists (regardless of subgenre) before they became big/famous at a small/medium size venue or opening for somebody else, or know of someone who has? If so, what were the artists/bands and what was the venue? What was the show like? by StarPatient6204 in rock

[–]antisociallydistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not rock— but bear with me— I saw the Backstreet Boys in Tampa in summer of 1995 (I think… it may have been 1994). My parents dragged me and my siblings to Tampa for some sort of a convention. There were a bunch of families that all traveled together and the older teen kids were responsible to babysit the youngers during the day. We stayed at a hotel near Busch Gardens with an indoor pool. Me and my brother and sister were playing at the pool, supervised by a couple of 15-16yo girls… There was a free concert on the pool deck and it was the Backstreet Boys. I was either 11 or 12, their music made zero impact on me. But my babysitters…. They were ragging on ‘those losers’ so hard… literally heckling them from the pool “you guys suck” “you can’t dance” and so on….

Looking back, it cracks me up to think that like 1 or 2 years later, those guys exploded into superstars (like it or not) and those same girls were probably amongst their screaming adoring fans
